The noise you hear may be from a broken peice of glass, a bone chip, or any other hard material that you would wash in a dishwasher. To help you I would need the make/model for further information

Hi there! I have a Frigidaire Gallery GLGH1642FS1 stacked washer/dryer. Its making an awful grinding noise while trying to pump water out...the drum still seems to be turning though...any suggestions? Do I...

The washer is separate from the dryer as far as the systems go. It may be possible that you accidentally unplugged the connectors to the water hot valve when doing your repair.
The pump is probably the problem with the noise you describe. if the washer has a belt under the washer it is common for these pump bushings to go bad and make a grinding sound. There could be something stuck in the pump also.

Frigidaire front load washe makes an awful noise when water starts to drain

Yes normally remove the bottom panel and the pump is in the front on the right side. Some companies recommend you clean it every few months. Also some will let out water when you open it up, so have a towel ready.

I have a 95 caddy. there is an awful grinding noise on the pulley side of engine. water is not circulating in radiator. car is not overheating.

Hi Michael, I'm glad to help!

Micheal, only 2 thing can keep the water from NOT Circulating in the radiator and sense you have a grinding noise I have to say that my first description is your problem. (1) The water pump shaft has broken are the bearings went out on the water pump. If that's the case replace the water pump. (2) Restrictions in the coolant system will cause a NO FLOW issue. LIKE: Radiator restriction or a stuck closed thermostat. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Michael.

I have a LTF2940ES1 horrible noise and wet clothes

you ahve a clogged pump
remove the toe kick
the pump will be right there on the right
get a towel and disconnect the hoses
you will see a sqaure sump take that hose off
and clean it out
check to make sure there is nothing in the pump
reassemble and should be fine

Loud noise -- water pump??

Yes you definately need a new pump assembly part number 21001906 $59.95. That is a maytag part number and it is a very common repair. The new pump is a revised design and will look different but will mount the same. Axcess through front panel.

No water ever makes it through the pump

You have to prime the pump.. Hit the water button and open the steam knob.

If no water goes through the steam wand I would check for a clogged water line.
