Question about GE X5 Digital Camera
The lcd screen's ribbon connector might be slightly oxided, a processor's tiny contact legs could be dirty or cracked- this is rare, but it happens. One thing you might try is to clean the battery terminals both on the batteries, and inside the camera. Oxidation affects current flow (reducing it), and strange things can happen in this case. Also, make sure the battery is good, and fully charged.
You can take the camera apart and spray the shutter switch contacts with contact cleaner, reseat the ribbon connector, spray the contacts, and reconnect it. You may have to have it serviced, but get an estimate first. Often the cost of repair is equal to that of a new camera.
You can take it to a local repair shop, or contact GE support to find the nearest authorized repair center:
Good luck, and hope this helps.
