Question about Canon NP 6545 Copier
I will do my best to answer your question. The documentation on your copier goes back to 95/96. It's a darn good copier and it's design was used during the transition from analog to digital copiers. Many of the design characteristics have remained the same for 16 years or better. Canon had been on the cutting edge of digital copiers since the early to mid 80's. And though they are constantly innovating and changing designs, the NP6545 was(and until VERY recently) the backbone of their "mid-volume" copiers. Ok, enuff "blah blah". There are tech bulletins on the Canon web site that go back to 1995/96. So, mid 90's is your answer. Canon kept building on and modifying your copier until at least 2004 since I found a new print of the "Operator's manual" dated 2004. I hope this helps. Take care. P.S....... I have been servicing Canon copiers since 1985. If i helped you, please let "FIXYA" know. :-)
