Question about Whirlpool Calypso GVW9959K Top Load Washer

1 Answer

Washer ate a sheet

Today we were washing a pair of sheets when the adgitator sucked in two sides of one of the sheets under it. As the cycle continued it of course jammed up the sheet and final the washer errored and stopped. Took an hour to work out the sides of the sheet to free it. Has anyone ever had the Calypso **** down any clothing and what it (if any) the solution.

Thanks
JB

Error F11 during the wash cycle

The error means that the controller is not talking to the other components. It is very expensive to repair,. If you want to run tests on it, there is a tech sheet behind the kick panel under the door.

My machine will just stop after the adgitate cycle.

Manually turn the knob to the spin cycle and turn it on.
If it does not spin, replace the lid switch.

If it does spin, replace the timer.

During high speed cycle a loud bagging noise. looks like the drum is out of balance. Kenmore washer model 42832

Most likely you have a big sheet or something in the wash, this has unbalanced the load. Turn off the machine, wait for 1& half minutes to open the door, re-adjust the load, likely other clothes are stuck in the big sheet. Continue the wash...........

Kenmore Washer 70 Series - sheets stuck around agitator

The transmission probably stripped the worm gear that drives the drum - you would have to crack it open and take a peek.

Cabrio he toploader leaking on towel/sheet cycle only

It is possible that the dispenser is leaking. It is typically the left front dispenser, you may notice a puddle on the left side. ???
