Yes the network key is a 9-64 charactor key called a wep key witch can be found by inputing 192.168.1.1 in your browser followed by the user name of the router and password. Most cases its admin/admin or admin/password. for default

My new HP desktop is asking for PIN of wireless router. My router is Netgear N600 WNDR3400v2. All I can find is two MAC #'s and the S/N. Where is the PIN?

This router does not use any type of PIN. You may be confused as the HP wireless networking setup may be asking for the "password", or WPA2 key that secures the wireless network. This must be entered before the router will accept the client and assign it a network IP address. The WPA2 key is stored in the router under the Wireless Settings Option. Unfortunately, if you don't know the key, going there won't help you as the key is not visible.

reset the Netgear to default settings by pushing and holding the reset button for 30 seconds or so, release. Reconfigure SSID and Security. You may want to write down the Key for future use. This may help: http://support.netgear.com/product/WGR614v1

This NetworkKey is either the WEP, or WPA or WPA2 Encryption key that is used toconfigure the Wireless Router. The Passphrase is an alternate way tosetup the Encryption key.

Need a network security key how do i find this out

to find out your network security key, you first need to make sure that you are securely connected to your netgear router. after doing that, open a browser and type in 192.168.1.1 or www.routerlogin.net on the address bar. the username is " admin " password is " password " if it ask you for it. then it would take you now to the netgear page. on the left side of the screen. click " wireless settings " and scroll down to security options. the passphrase is your network security key

The network passphrase/encryption key is in the Netgear wireless settings.

WEP key fro netgear DG834G v3 WIRELESS ROUTER/MODEM

Okay, first you will need to access your router (usually 192.168.0.1 or something like that) you will be asked for a user name and password. (admin password respectively if you never set these up previously)

From there you would click on Wireless Settings and scroll down to WEP Key. Whatever is typed in Key 1 is your WEP key. Write that down. Plug in those numbers for your printer and you should be go to go.

Network key

Presuming your are meaning a WEP key (asked as network key in windows), you would find it by entering into your Modem's setup screen, selecting Wireless Settings, Wireless Security, and your key should be listed there

Hope this helps!
