SOURCE: Westinghouse Security System beeping

Hi, as you know your system is old. The company that made your system no longer exists. There is no support for your system. No parts available. It sounds like a circuit board problem. Defects in circuit boards are not normally fixed where I work. Not cost effective to pull panel and send it out to be bench tested. shipped back for reinstallation. cheaper to replace panel and keypads. There is a 50/50 chance you may have to replace sensors Too, on that panel. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: I have a GE home

It might not hurt to try the "Microsoft Solution" and reboot the system. First disconnect the AC power then disconnect the battery. Wait 1 minute then reconnect the battery and reconnect the AC power.See ifyou can arm and disarm the system. Then reconnect the siren and try again to arm and disarm the panel. If the keypads beep it can usually give you an error code that will help you pinpoint the problem.

Alarm is going bananas in the high winds. Can i disconnect it?

The electronics are complex.
I would advise you not to tamper with the alarm system as that is likely to trigger the security/immobilise system and stop you from starting the car.

I would take the car to a Jag service center and discuss some options with them for either fixing the problem or disabling the alarm in manner that will not cause problems with the security system.

GE Security Command Center - alarm sets off for no reason.

how many zones do you have on the alarm system? if its more than 8 your problem might be due to a faulty expander that is used to create more zones on the alarm panel. repairing these are not worth it as a new one would be cheaper.
if this is not your problem it might be due to a faulty pacife or beam. go past each point and check if the light goes on when it detects movement. if not replace the unit.

Low cpu battery how do i fix it on alarm system

Open the system, unplug the transformer, disconnect one lead of your battery, reconnect the battery first, then the Ac if it says low battery still, then you need a new battery take the one you have go to battery plus get a new one, and reconnect it, it may still say low battery, wait for an hour for the battery to charge, disconnect the AC and battery again, reconnect the battery first then the transformer. It should clear the low battery. That battery is a

Drive medical phoenix 3 backup alarm

It is very easy to quiet your backup alarm. All you need is a small philips [+] screw driver and a piece of electrical tape about 1 inch square. Raise the "hatch cover" under your feet by removing the two small phillips head screws on either side of the raised edge. Locate the small round black son-alert taped in line with one of the wiring harnesses. You will see an opening in the center of one side of the Son-alert. That is where the "beep" comes from. Prove you have the correct part in hand by turning on your key switch and pressing the horn button, first with your finger over the hole in the son-alert and then without your finger covering the hole. You will hear a very big difference if you have the right part. Now you can put your piece of electrical tape in place over the hole and try it again. It will be much quieter. DO NOT CUT THE WIRES LEADING TO THE SON-ALERT! If you still want it quieter use a thicker, more sound deadening cover over the hole, but cutting the harness to disconnect the sona-alert entirely will lead to unintended consequences.

I recently installed a GE Simon XT wireless security system. It worked fine upon initial installation. However, I decided to relocate the panel. At the new location I had to extend the transformer lead to...

Check the outlet to ensure it :1- has power , 2- is not a switched outlet. Check your wire connections to ensure they are secure. If all of the above are good, the transformer may have shorted when disconnecting. Use a voltage meter on the transformer terminals and the AC scale, check the output of the transformer.

How do I change the battery in the GE Simon XT panel?

If your system is monitored call the central station first and tell them you are working on it. Then push down on release tab in top center to fold down the front face. Nest step is to use a small flat blade screw driver to push in and release the tab again in the top center and the unit will fold down towards you, hold on to it and you will see the battery compartment. Follow the red and black wires to the battery. Some units have a plastic lid over the battery that requires you to remove to small phillips screws to remove battery.

If you attempt to disconnect the battery the alarm will go off and you may not be able to reset it. there is a specic code to be set before any maintenance can be done. These codes are all different otherwise there would be no security!
Any alarm company would be willing to change your battery and if its a monitored alarm they might also want to take on your monitoring. Call an alarm or security company in your area for assistance
