Your data that you are sending to the hard drive might be corrupt or the hard drive isn't spinning at the correct rpm.

Error 0x80070571 Disc structure is corrupted and unreadable
i will tell you how to fix this thing

Start - Run type CMD
In that box type chkdsk_f:_/f_/r (do not type the underscores, it just shows needed spaces)
Change the f: to whatever drive letter the external drive or your card on your computer.
This will take minit (5 - 8) but you can use the PC... just not that drive.
hope that it helped

I can not copy or remove files tot mine extern harddisk Maxtor and the error shows 0x80070571. What can i do? How to repair I have already done cksdsk but is does not help

Hello,

There are several things that come up for this error message.

1. The files you are trying to copy over to your external maybe corrupt. (What type of files are you trying to copy, windows files or just personal data ?)

2. Your External HDD is either damaged, or not hooked up correctly. Make sure all cables etc are secure and working, try a different set of cables if possible.

3. You can try this tool that will analyze your hard drive for problems. CLICK HERE.

Post back if you have any questions or comments.

Error code 0X80070571 with the external HDD

The Seatools test has verified that the "physical" hardware is working fine, which is good news.

However, the error-message "disk structure is corrupted" means that there is a "logical" problem. Compare it to a book with a Table of Contents that has been overwritten by a two-year-old with crayons;
the pages are not physically torn nor missing, but you cannot "read" the original Table of Contents information.

Connect the drive, and note which drive-letter that Windows assigns, e.g., 'E:'.

Click Start
Click Run
Type CMD and press ENTER
Type CHKDSK E: /F and press ENTER,
and let Windows try to reconstruct the Table of Contents on the disk.

Is there a patch for this ?

That error means the media you're trying to burn to is corrupt.
Try using a different empty disc.
If that still doesn't work, it may be that you drive needs cleaning.
If that does not solve the problem, it might be that you need a new CD/DVD drive.
