Question about Lexmark X2500 All-In-One Printer
If your printer was working fine before, it could be just a slight communication problem. Disconnect your printer from your computer. Unplug and replug your printer into the power to reset it. When the printer turns on, reconnect it to your computer. You may reboot your computer as well to refresh it. Try to print again.

I know this is going to sound odd, but did you install a new cartridge? My son worked on his for a while after putting in a new cartridge and couldn't get it to print. His friend, who is very good with computers and all helped, and to no avail they couldn't get it to work.
The printer at that time was very new, so we didn't think that could the problem...they were missing something. As it was, they were so intent on installing and setting it all up, they put the cartridges in without removing the tape that is placed over the end of the cartridge after being manufactured. Once they realized and removed both tapes, everything worked out fine.
It could be something that simple...if you were in a hurry. And, yes, I know it sounds impossible, but I KNOW THAT THIS ACTUALLY HAPPENED so it could happen again. Good luck.
