Question about Garden

1 Answer

UST 2.5hp 25gal compressor. This chinese piece of **** is driving me nuts lol. Supplier said it would take 2 months to get the gaskets from china.... made them myself. I can't find ANY information on the internet about what torque settings are for the cylinder bolts. Head size is 10mm shank diam is 6mm and approximate length is 2 inches. All suggestions are welcome, and if anyone knows where I can find a shop manual (not owner's manual) for this I'd really appreciate it.

General torque for that size bolt would be 6 ft/lbs. As for a shop manual it would probably be in Chinese and would be as scarce as hen's teeth, there being so many different compressors and other machines spewing out of China.

Need diagram to put on starter drive clutch ***.for 1985 1340cc harley

To replace the starter drive clutch on your 1985 model Big Twin, first disconnect the battery. Drain the primary and remove the primary cover. Remove the starter drive shaft that has the clutch on it. Clamp the drive shaft in a vise equipped with soft jaws and remove the nut from the end of the shaft. The nut is the round piece on the end that has two flats for a wrench to fit. It has LEFT HANDED THREADS. Remove the starter drive and replace it with a new unit. Replace the nut using Loctite 271 red and put the starter drive shaft back in. Make sure you purchase a good starter drive clutch. Avoid the Chinese units as they don't hold up very well. I have a 25gal 5.5hp Craftsman compressor. it is

The only thing I can think it might be is something else is running on that breaker. But for it to snap a 30 amp, whoa. The 5.5 hp motor probably draws 18 amps on start up if not more. But then runs on 12 or 13, so for it to snap a 30 amp, I don't know. The capacitors, you have 2, could be drawing too much. One thing, what is the 30 amp breaker for? Is it 220 volts? Is your comp 220 volts? Check this stuff out. I'm not sure how you test the capacitor, but don't go messing with it, it holds a charge. Hope this helps.

I have a UST power system plus 1106C, the motor

Same thing happened to me on a UST compressor. Most of them have an internal glass fuse that you can replace. Remove the housing and inspect the electonics inside. You should see a glass fuse on a holder on the circuit panel.
