If you mean to say, your WEP key or password(network key) to allow your computer to go online wirelessly, you need to access the Netopia's setup page via a browser. From there, you can go or click the wireless section/tab which will give your settings for your network like security key or network name.

Bought and installed a usb wireless lan for my desk top, it brings up all the wifi in my area, i can connect to my wireless router i am using now with my laptop but wont bring up web pages. shows i am...

To test your Internet connection use a LAN cable, connect to your laptop to your router and if you can get an Internet connection then most likely your USB wireless adapter is not configured correctly for connecting to your wireless router.
To connect your computer to a wireless router, you click the Refresh network list, then Choose your wireless network and then click Connect to your secured Wireless Network, it will asks for a Network Key before allowing you to connect into your wireless network. This Network Key is either the WEP, or WPA or WPA2 Encryption key that is used to configure the Wireless Router. The Passphrase is an alternate way to setup the Encryption key.
When you are requested for a Network Key, you can just enter the Passphrase that was used to configure the Encryption key in the wireless router. http://www.fixya.com/support/r5270415-network_password_network_address For information on securing your wireless network, configuring the wireless router and configuring the wireless card in the laptop/computer, please click on this link and follow my instructions :- http://www.fixya.com/support/r3559128-wireless_router_security

I need to no SSID to this modem

Hi,

First access the modem with the default ip addy. maybe 192.168.1.*
(*=1,2,3,4... 254)

From home screen click wireless - in wireless setting you would not be able to see the KEY if wireless is disabled thus enable it by checking the box. Your wep key would be displayed in the smaller window at the bottom.

Sam

Where do I find the security key for netgear wireless g router WGR614v9-serial number *1W91867RO33ES* as I wish to install a usb wireless adapter on my wife's computer

The encryption key is a security key. The encryption key is configured in the Netgear's wireless setting. To get these settings ie. the SSID and the WPA or WPA2, open a browser and type the Netgear's configuration URL - http://192.168.0.1
The default login = admin
The default PW = password
Then go to the wireless settings to get this information.
This SSID and WPA or WPA2 encryption key is then used to configure the USB wireless adapter so it can connect to the Netgear.

Web key wireless internet service

I think you meant WEP key. this is a wireless encryption security key. and it is normally required when you try to connect to a secured network. Your administrator should be able to provide you with this. because it varies. i.e you can set it to whatever you want if you have access to the wireless router. in your case Belkin 54g Wireless DSL/Cable Router
so please if you have access to it, log in to the router and check from wireless security settings.

How do i put a password on my wireless motorola router?

Use the Wireless > SECURITY — basic Page to encrypt your transmitted data. Choose one of:
If all of your wireless clients support WPA encryption, we recommend using WPA instead of WEP because WPA:
• Provides much stronger encryption and is more secure
• Provides authentication to ensure that authorized users only can log in to your WLAN
• Is much easier to configure
• Uses a standard algorithm on all compliant products to generate a key from a textual passphrase
• Will be incorporated into the new IEEE 802.11i wireless networking standard
For new wireless LANs, we recommend purchasing client adapters that support WPA, such as the Motorola
Wireless Notebook Adapter WN825G, Wireless PCI Adapter WPCI810G, and Wireless USB Adapter WU830G.
For more information about the benefits of WPA, see the Wi-Fi Protected Access Web page:
http://www.wifialliance.org/OpenSection/protected_access.asp.
Configure on the SBG900 Required On Each Wireless Client
If all of your wireless clients support Wi-Fi
Protected Access (WPA), we recommend
Configuring WPA on the SBG900
If you use a local pre-shared key (WPA-PSK) passphrase, you
must configure the identical passphrase to the SBG900 on each
wireless client. Home and small-office settings typically use a
local passphrase.
Configuring a RADIUS server requires specialized knowledge
that is beyond the scope of this guide. For more information,
contact your network administrator.
Otherwise, perform Configuring WEP on the
SBG900
You must configure the identical WEP key to the SBG900 on each
wireless client.
