It is, however sometimes the cost is the limiting factor. If you give me the model number and brand I can try and find some prices for you. But some of the major tool manufacturers offer a MAX RATE repair that sets the limit on how much it will cost you and they will fix everything. If it is less then you pay less.

It sounds like the gear inside sheared the teeth. You can check with Craftsman to see if you can get a replacement gear.

you need to get that chisel out. If it was hammering with it before the end of the chisel might have broken and not coming into contact with the striker, if it did not then the end of the chisel might be damaged not allowing it to seat fully, either way get the chisel out and put in a regular bit and it will probably work.

My 11236vs drill, the motor runs but the " bit dont turn"


EITHER THE CLUTCH IS SMOKED OR IT HAS SERIOUS GEAR ISSUES, NOT A GOOD TOOL TO TAKE APART UNLESS YOUR FAMILIAR WITH ROTO HAMMER INSIDES, GOOD HAMMER IF PARTS ARE AVAILABLE WILL PROBABLY COST COUPLE HUNDRED TO FIX PARTS AND LABOR!!

need to check the hamer piston. also if your switch is going out are you useing a long cored (yellow) need a cored rated no less than 15amp 50'. to long burns the switches out ever time. let me know I'll check my manuels. good luck

No hammer effect, motor work OK


First try the switch for hammerdrill/drill action. If it feels loose, then its internal. if it feels ok, then your hammers on the cage are stuck, frozen or worn.

Check the brushes. the switch may have a short. Also, check the wiring from the switch, making sure there is no loose connections to the field. Definitely fixable. Lemme know Please rate me
