Question about HP Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

Every time I turn on my HPPhotosmart C3100 All-in-one it prints out an alignment sheet. I have already pulled and replaced again the new ink cartridge, and I have also pulled the electrical plug and plugged it back in. Still prints every time it is turned on.

My printer wnt work i boght new ink but it wont print

Hi

whenever you put new ink cartridges, your printer prints an alignment sheet
if your printer isn't printing,
one of the concern could be that it didn't print the alignment, uninstall the cartridges and put them back again.

also try printing an alignment sheet using the printer driver located in the control panel, printers and faxes
once you go into the properties and click on the device settings and click on service this device you will get option to print alignment sheet
this should work

My HP Photosmart C3100 printer won't print anything other than churning out test sheets

I had the same exact problem.  My printer would simply say, failed to print constantly, unless I turned my pritner off and then back on, but then it would only print me a test sheet and nothing else.  This started happening right when I got a new ink cartridge.
The problem: While I was putting in my new ink cartridge, I accidentally pulled my printer back too far, and it was unplugged.
Solution: Make sure your printer is plugged into the computer.  I know it is a simple mistake, but you are having the same problem, this is the solution.

HP Photosmart C3100 series

I just got off the HP help line.  After changing my black ink cartridge a test page was printing each time I turned the machine on.  This is very costly, in both time and ink as the cartridges themselves for this machine hold very little ink.  I tried to learn from HP tech how to turn off the test-print while keeping my color cartridge empty.  It turns out that you cant do it.  HP requires you to keep buying and using cartridges whether you need them or not.If you buy the color ink it will use it up in its testings.  And if you dont buy the color cartridge it will use up your black ink by printing the test each time you turn on the printer.  The printer was inexpensive sure, but I'm paying for it in wasted ink.
