Question about Cameras

1 Answer

Several days ago I accidently left my camcorder in the "on" position. When I tried to turn it on yesterday it would not power up, so I changed to a charged battery, but still no power. I tried the AC adapter, but still no power. I tried reset, but nothing. I cannot get the camera to power up.

Hi,

This is a common problem. This is an internal problem and needs repair. As you have tried to use an AC adopter, that would confirm that nor the connectors is at fault. This would moreover, confirm a problem with electronic circuitry. Unfortunately, there is no other option than to open and repair it. If you have prior camera repair experience, i would be more than happy to guide you unless you need to either get it repaired from the local electronics repair shop around your home or send the unit for repair.

Let me know,if needed further assistance.

Hope i helped you.

Thanks for using ' Fixya ' and have a nice day!!

Will not turn on or start up..Sony Handycam DCR-DVD300 DVD

Try resetting the Camcorder to the factory settings by pressing the reset button. If the issue persists, try power resetting the camcorder. To power reset, remove the battery of the Camcorder and press and hold the power button for 30 second(or turn the Power switch to ON position for 30 seconds) and reinsert the battery after one minute and check the operation. If the issue still persists, the service is required.

We left the freezer door open all night by accident two days ago

I turned the fridge side off on mine, and left it overnight (last night!). This morning there is frozen stuff in the freezer. I think the compressor motor just needed ALOT of time to cool down b4 it would work properly again

I found advice on the Fisher Paykel web site that suggested the problem could be the door lock. In fact the catch had not properly engaged & when I fixed that the dryer worked.
