http://www.samsung.com/ph/consumer/tv-audio-video/mp3-player/mp3-player/YP-K5QB/XTC/index.idx?pagetype=prd_detail&tab=support you could try to reload the firmware available at the link above they have guides available as well or if it still under warranty you might have them repair it RTC means Real Time Clock, it is a hardware clock designed to count
actual time. if this is faulty, things like playback and touch sensing
will be affected.
It needs repairing unfortunately i hope this helps you
Real time clock, maybe? I'm not sure, but re-installing your current firmware may correct the issue. Check your firmware version on your K5 under "Settings>System>Firmware version", and you should be able to find links to MTP and UMS versions can be found in the forum.
if you keep in in a jar of white rice it'll **** up all the water, and then about 2 days later, just to make sure all the water is gone, but it in the freezer. muy friend did that and it started working again. my k5 is doing that and 'm about to pop my baby into the freezer in a few minutes.
have you tried updating the firmware? Go to Samsung.com support > download center > type
in the model number (yp-k5jab) click on firmware, and download the
version that corresponds with your device. install the firmware updater
on your computer, plug in your device. and flash the firmware. (this
will erase ALL songs and settings so you will want to back those up
first). After that its like brand new. Keep the updater handy, since this might crop up again.
I had the same problem. Won't turn on but when connected to laptop via USB it shows RTC (real time clock?) error, then syncs, then shows image of battery and says FULLY CHARGED. I downloaded the firmware and installed and all that did was delete ALL the music on the device and it still doesn't work. It is just out of warranty. Does anyone know a company that fixes these players?
