It's probably stuck in a diagnostic cycle, possibly from when it left the factory. You will not have any information as to how to resolve this in the user manual as it's not a user feature.
As it's a virtually unknown brand and probably made by a different company to the name on the front anyway, you'll be lucky if anyone here knows the answer either.
Don't muck about, just take it back to Asda for a refund or exchange.

Just do a hard reset to this set and check. To make it a hard reset, unplug the TV from AC mains wall socket, and re-plug it back after 15 minutes or so. If this do not help you, the main board to your TV is faulty. Contact any service technician. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Viewing it in "Mosaic" will make surf easy. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts.
