Mabee the hard drive has failed . try entering bios and see if the hard drive is recognised .If not try turning the computer off unplug it then reconnect the drive data cable and power cable
then re- start the computer and see if it is recognised. some models of older hard drives needed a driver installed during set up -- you usually have to put the driver on a floppy disc and hit the f6 button when prompted by windows set up to install third party drivers . I hope this helps

How to overhaul/ repair a hydraulic floor jack?

Sounds like a bad seal on that plunger that pumps up and down. That plunger should unscrew and then it's pilled out , there should be an O ring. That is where it probably is leaking. You probably need to top off oil. You can jack oil in an auto store or Lowes, etc.

Need help in raising the seat of a new Hoveround MPV 5

seat is heavy. first unscrew set screw that holds the shaft sections tight. next put a board across the batteries, then get a bottle jack and start pumping. something's going to give. hopefully it will be your chair raising. Next go to Lowes and buy a pin to fit through the holes. release jack, enjoy your raised seat...

Motomaster motorcycle jack won't raise

Hi Bogdan:
Seems there may be some confusing instructions.
Here's what I would try. My approach would be intended to get the bike off the stand before I tried to trouble shoot the motomaster jack.
1) Use the handle to rotate the release valve to the right (clockwise) until it is snug.
2) Pump the jack to try to raise it. If it raises, then press the release pedal and use the jack handle to slowly rotate the release valve to the left (counter-clockwise) to lower the deck.
3) If it does not raise, I would use a separate jack to raise it, then follow the prescribed lowering procedure, and at the same time, use the control on the extra jack to manage the lowering.
Once you get it partially lowered, hopefully the motomaster jack will start to function and you can lift the bike far enough to remove your extra jack.
Hope this helps.

Height of a factory jack for a jeep grand cherokee laredo 2004. I recently discovered the jack was missing - how high must the replacement jack go (scizzor or Bottle) necessary to thange a tire

If dont remember bad, at '02 came with scissors, after '03 and upper came with bottle.

This is my suggest, 6-21" lift, seems like a good size for the WJ. Moderately priced.
Michelin 2½-Ton Jack $89.99 (CDN)
* Hydraulic Speedy Lift is a patented design - the fastest way to reach car chassis
* 6" - 21" maximum height is ideal for SUVs
* Wider jack stance increases overall stability of the jack
* Unique design combines aesthetics and strength in the overall jack design
* Universal joint ensures smooth release and secure valve operation from any pumping angle
* Storage tray is ideal for keeping track of small parts or hardware
* Saddle pad helps prevent damage to vehicle during lifting

Keep in mind the use that your Jeep is very important, also if your like to practice off-road tours.

Hope this helps.

20 ton jack is new model ge2105a, does not work at all. especially jacking up. it has oil and as far as i can tell no air in the oil.?????

Unscrew the release valve completely and check that the ball is in place. Check that the release valve screws in all the way to seat the ball. Try inspect the ball seat at the bottom of the release valve to see if there is a good solid face for the ball to seat on. (The jack should respond a little, even if there is a slight leak on the release valve). There is another ball valve in the jack. It might be located in the body below the release valve or it might be inside the bottle. (If it is a new jack, surely it should still be under warranty and you can take it back to the dealer?)

Jack creeps down wit screw as tight as it will go.

The piston rings may be leaking fluid past them, the release valve seat or needle may be damaged, or the pump seals may be leaking back fluid. Repair is usually to tear down the entire jack and inspect each part for faults. It might be cheaper to just replace the jack if it is one of the Asian-made jacks. Hope this helps!

My light on the temperture gauge is flashing does anyone know why? its a ford galaxy

the red light flashing on the temp gauge means that there is no coolant in the expansion tank.
look behind the battery (slightly above) and you will see a bottle.
With the engine cold open the cap on the bottle slowly and release the pressure inside.
Check to make sure that the coolant inside the tank is between the min and max line.
if coolant isnt there you need to fill it with a mixture of water and coolant(coolant purchased at any garage) as directed on the bottle.
Keep an eye on the level of coolant in the bottle for a few days if it falls below min or dissapears it could indicate a leak.
I had a small leak in my 98 2.3 ghia x galaxy and fixed it by buying a bottle of rad weld, poured the liquid rad weld into the coolant bottle, and it worked a treat plus it stops the inside of the radiator rusting and rotting away.

Hope this helps :-)

In the last 2-3 months I have purchased 2 of the Sunbeam Combo Water Dispensers and both of them overflow. After setting the bottle in the ''no spill receptacle'' after awhile they will overflow around the...

I would say that the dispenser is at fault. These water dispensers use gravity to release the water and won't allow overflow. The air pressure in the bottle comes up through the dispenser as water flows out. Your dispenser is not seating against the bottle correctly. Look inside at the gasket material that the top of the bottle rests on when it is in the inverted position. That's where the problem lies. The leak is happening right there where the bottle rests down in the reservoir. Look at that seal, it's damaged. Leaking...

Safty lock for spare tire on 2003 chevy silverado will not release..tried cranking it all the way back up and lowering it down again but the lock would not release the tire i have been stuck on the road...

Check your owners manual .There is a saftey catch that will need to be realased by using your bottle jack and tire stops that come with your truck. If you dont have a owners manual. What you can try is taking a floor jack and a socket place it under the spairtire right in the center where the cable holds the tire in place. start jacking it up until the socket hits the square part in the center once the socket is aligned with the square part continue to jack up it should release it . Its a stupid system but it will work if the cable wont allow the tire to drop. good luck and keep me posted.
