Hi, please make sure that the card is inserted correctly, with the contact side goes down side. if it does,nt work, your card reader is not properly installed or damaged.
thank you

It wont read my sd card anymore it has always worked fine Im a photographer and use this port many many many times a day and never have a problem till now i have restarted my computer and it has work after...

it's possible that the card simply isn't being read correctly in the slot. pop the card out and then push it back in with a little bit of force. if still nothing, plug the card back into the camera and try to hook the camera up via USB if that works then it's not the card.

NONE OF MY SD CARDS WILL GO ALL THE WAY IN THE SD SLOT ON PC ANYMORE.

I rather fear that if you shine a torch into the SD slot, you will find the internl pins are bent or crushed.
If they are, your best bet is to obtain a 5.25" card reader and either replace it in the slot the old one came from, or if that is not possible, remove a dvd bay cover and put it in there

How does the 5 in 1 card reader work on the Acer Aspire 5920 laptop? I am not sure how to get the SD card into this slot. Thanks

There should be 5 slots. Near each slot has the trademark of the card that the slot is for. If you are unable to identify the trademarks or there aren't any ways of finding which slot is which, then try each slot. Do not force your SD card into the slot. There should be only one slot that is the perfect fit for the SD card. Just slightly change the angle of the SD card until it slides in. The SD card has little to no extra room so it will take a little while to get the SD card in. Also the slot is spring loaded so you should here a click when it is in correctly.

If you have trouble, just keep trying and don't force it in. Trust me that it will fit if it is the right slot. Sometimes I get my SD card into my Wii or laptop in under a minute and sometime I have to mess with it for over 5 minutes (the angle of the stand for the Wii doesn't help at all).

Once you get the SD card in correctly, it will show up as a drive in "My Computer" but Windows XP and Vista have normal alerts with a "new hardware found" tone. Think of it as an USB flash drive that is smaller and goes into a specific slot.

When you are done, just push the SD card in and the slot should eject the card so you can pull it out.

Good luck and I hope you get it in.

Computer video went out while in the middle of something. Tried to restart- hard drive makes proper sounds but still no signal. Checked to make sure all cables were still in, turned monitor on and off....

pull out the memory modules and power up the pc. It should make a series of beeping sound, indicating the motherboard as operational, and it could be a case of defective memory. Otherwise, I would say the board is defective.

Ejecting Memory Stick Pro Duo card out of notebook card reader

Hi, the memory Stick Pro Duo card is (micro), half size as you have noticed you need to buy an SD adapter card. You put your Pro Duo card into the SD card & than put it into your card reader.
Once you see the SD adapter card on the web site you'll understand. You can buy this at a local BestBuy. Most web sites sell the adapter as a combo, you'll get a micro card & adapter.

Look at SanDisk 2GB Ultra II Memory Stick PRO Duo w/Adapter
