Question about Zanussi ZXE66X Cooktop

Open Question

I am wiring in a newly bought zanussi zxe66x hob. There are no instructions. There is a diagram next to the "wiring box" on the unit showing 5 screws for wires. The 5 screws are numbered 1, 2, 3, N and PE. It seems clear that N and PE are for Neutral and Earth connections. Then the diagram seems to indicate that for 200-240v I should connect 3 and N, and that I should connect 1 and 2. I presume I should then wire in my Live wire to 1 or 2. Is this correct? SOURCE: Only 2 hobs work

this is almost certainly a wiring issue at the mains connection block, there are links which have not been tightened down. there is usually a diagram adjacent to mains block telling you what to do. connection block is covered by a plate. take plate off and tighten all terminals making sure links have been inserted. switch of at mains of course

Induction hob switching off

check that the hob is wired correctly underneath 1,2,3 should be linked together as live 4,5 as neutral and earth takes its place as earth,

if it is wired correctly then i m afraid the hob needs a new induction element it is all one complete unit on these hobs not seperate so your looking at £1000 + to fix it plus engineer call out charges

You have a short to ground somewhere.

Was there a new cord installed on it or did the cord come already installed?

It could have been wired wrong causing a short to ground. there could be another wire touching the cabinet, a wire pinched by the cabinet.

You may have to trace down every wire with a continuity meter to find it, but its probably fairly obviose.

I'd start at the cord.

First try this, unplug the cord, turn the breaker back on just to make sure the problem is indeed in the unit not the receptacle or panel box.

If the breaker stays on, you know its in the unit.

Wiring for Neff Hob-not supplied/no wiring instructions

The details of how to wire the T1213 hob are printed on the base of the hob next to the terminal compartment. For a single cable installation, Neutral is connected to terminals 4 & 5 which should already be linked with a copper link. Terminals 1,2 & 3 should be linked together using the links supplied (hidden in the side of the terminal compartment) and Live is connected to any one of 1,2 or 3. The Earth goes to the terminal beside the cable clamp.

Zanussi Ceramic hob ZKT641H front/main left zone does not heat up

can't give you much guidence - will be either regulator or the plate itself. no easy way to find out. you will have to remove the hob top and check for continuity thro the plate. ifplate is ok, then power up and check for supply to the plate. if no supply, then the regulator will be at fault

Have a baumatic ceramic hob displayin letter 'L'

Got the same problem, and remembered I've kept the manual book
L means locked. I dont know how Ive managed to do this as well

Anyway it says:

Cancelling the key lock
After switching ON the control the child safety feature can be deactivated. Here it is necessary to simultaneously operate the front right cooking-zone-select-key and the MINUS-key and then operate the MINUS-key alone. If all steps hae been carried out in the right order within 10seconds the key lock gets cancelled and the control is OFF. Otherwise the input will be considered incomplete, the control remains locked and switches-OFF after 20 seconds.

After a renewed switching-ON/OFF key all displays show 0", the display dots are blinking and the control is ready for ooking. If a cooking zone is "hot", "H" will be displayed instead of the static 0".

Followed their instructions & still not worked. ,I am still confused and baffled after these instructions........................
