I assume this is a laptop.
There is a "F" Function Key with another key (I do not know) on the keyboard that will toggle the numbers on and off. I do not know the Mfg. of your PC so I suggest you look to the Mfg website for instructions.

Hello How do I remove the keyboard from an Asus A6J A6000 entertainment notebook? Thankyou

1. Place your laptop on a clean, flat surface and remove all power sources from it. Open your laptop screen as far as you can.

2. Use the flathead screwdriver to pop open the hinge cover. Slowly and carefully pry it open from the right side to the left side, exposing the keyboard screws. Using the Phillips screwdriver, remove the screws that hold the Asus A6J Keyboard in place. Keep these screws in a safe place.

3. Gently tug the Asus A6J Keyboard component toward your laptop display. You are trying to pull it out of the slot that is located near the palm rest and mouse pad. It doesn't take much force, but you must be firm. Once you have pulled it out of the slot, you can lift it up and remove it from your laptop.

4. Take the replacement keyboard and slide it into the slot. Once in place, screw it into place with the Phillips screwdriver and the screws you removed in Step 2. Fit the hinge cover back into place by snapping it in from left to right. Power on your laptop and verify that the Asus A6J Keyboard is working.

The keyboard on my Asus EEC PC 701 has completely stopped working. Any help gratefully received.

check the driver, do so by visiting the asus website and downloading the driver you might need, it might also be the wiring inside your computer if it was dropped or just used too much... theres not too much you can do on a net book without the keyboard huh? sorry, and i hope this helps, ill send you a clickable link for the driver website.

How to remove keyboard on asus a6r

and you will find Kenjo explain it as below:

Flip the laptop over, there is a hole scre in a hole on the graphics card asnd cpu cover. It is marked with a K>. Remove that screw and flip the laptop back over. At the top of the keyboard over th F2 button, between F5 and 6, F10, and the INS buttons. Pop these over to release and then there are two on the sides near Tab and PgUp. Slowly lift the keyboard up. The data cable is on the lower left. Slide the lock bar down and release the data cable. I had my machine almost completly apat before I realized how easy it reallys was.

Good Luck even though you should't need it as Keyboard Removal on most Laptops aren't that hard to work out, just thorough examination and not brut force.
