Try booting the laptop up in safe mode.
To do this restart the laptop and hit F8 as it starts, choose safe mode and see if the laptop boots up. If it does select system restore and restore the system back to before you installed the update.
When the laptop restarts it should tell you if the restore was successful.

Good luck.

How do i delete all mail from windows mail ?

I am sure you meant GOOGLE mail which I also have. I normally tick them as far as I can see and then click the delete button and they get cleared. I have not seen a DELETE ALL button but it should not reboot the machine instead refresh the screen with the marked mail deleted/removed.
