Question about Creda Europa E010E Electric Single Oven

Open Question

Creda Plan Fan Oven timer broke.

Hi, I've a slight problem.

I was cooking fish & chips and when it came to setting the timer, I accidentally pushed it clockwise not knowing that it was supposed to be turned anti-clockwise so the little knob broke inside the plastic and is now loose.

Whenever I turn on the oven, the buzzer continuously makes a buzzing noise and will NOT turn off regardless how much knob turning I do. The only way I can get it to turn off is switching the power off.

If you can help it would be much appreciated as my dad is going crazy about it =p.

Thanks & best regards

SOURCE: hi.i have a hotpoint creda c362e cooker the rings

Hi.
Frpm the sympton's you list, I would say that the main oven element has failed, espsecially if the fan is working o/k.
The element is located at the rear of the oven compartment behind a removeable cover.
In addition to the grill elements in the top oven compartment, there is an additional base element which you can't see.
If you turn the top oven on, the base of the compartment should get hot, if it does not, then the base element has probably failed.
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Creda Oven Model ESO 210 broken multifunction selector knob

Same thing happened with my Creda ESO 210. The function selector works find. It just doesn't rotate the piece of plastic that has the funtion symbols on it. I contacted the authorised parts supplier in Canada and was told it would cost $90 for the part. After a long wait, the part arrived and it wasn't the correct piece (they'd ordered the little plastic circle with the function symbols on it instead of the knob thingee that moves it). So, if that cost $90, I dread to think what the broken mechanism would cost. So, I gave up and I simply count the clicks from the off position to use my oven. However, if you really want to follow up on this, you can contact www.creda.co.uk.

SOURCE: creda fan oven not heating

If the fan is working o/k, then the oven elemment has probably failed.
This is located at the rear of the oven compartment behind a removeable cover.
If the fan is not working, then it it could be the timer is on auto, and not on the manual setting. Check your user instructions.

Creda oven manual

The heat control knob needs to be replaced. This controls the amount of electricity that foes to the burner. Sometimes the burner itself has too much resistance and will only work when full current is applied. Hope this helps, please post a comment that this is solved on fixya.com. So I get credit for a solved problem if it does. If not, check back and give me more info.

Hi, the oven is not working in my Creda Collection freestanding cooker. I have had the element tested and proved to be ok. Also the fan does not move. The timer is set to manual. Can you assist?

If the element is okay and the element and fan aren't working together then it will be a problem further up the line. The next question I would normally ask is is the electronic timer in manual mode. When you turn the oven on does the oven indicator light come on?

Smeg oven SA 392 EB - technical difficulties

first of all the yellow/orange light glowing is a known fault. it needs a slight wiring modification to fix it, however it dose not affect the operation of the oven nor is it dangerous.
now to the heating problem, there is a round element at the rear witch surrounds the fan. is this element getting hot? if not then it most likely needs replacing. it could be the thermostat but more likely the element.
