Try connect the memory card to computer with a card reader, you can then use a card recovery software like asoftech data recovery. You can refer to this tutorial

Well, there are many reasons may make memory card not read by your mobile or PC. Please check these if possible.

1. What is the volume of your memory card? Does your mobile support the type of card?

2. How did you connect the card with your PC, via a card reader? If yes, make sure the card reader is fine.

3. When connected to PC, what makes you say the card is not read? Have you checked under "Disk Management" instead of just "My Computer"?

So here comes the solution.

1. Read the phone manual and find out if your card is supported.

2. Change a card reader and see if your PC can read it.

3. If it won't shown under "My Computer", go to "Disk Management" and see if your memory card showed as "Removable Drive". Then right click here and format the card.

SOURCE: pc not recognizing sandisk micro sd

The Card Reader you are using is probably not compatible with SDHC Memory Cards (High Capacity SD). You may need to get an SCHC compatible reader or check the website for your product to see if the is a driver update. You can get a new reader for about $20 bones if needed. I had the same issue.

Try putting the memory card in your PC and formatting it from My Computer.

If you have a camera that takes this kind of card, you can try to format the memory card from there as well.

My mobile is asking to format my mmc card

Joseph, This is a very common problem with most memory cards. They are so delicate that anything can harm them. I am sure that it is intact and can be read by formatting it in this mobile. But you will loose all dat in it. So, take it to one computer and read it there. If read copy the data there and take it back to your mobile. Format it in the mobile and then copy that data back to the memory card. If it is not read in the computer, take it to another PC or laptop till it is read. The moment it get read copy its data and ..... Keep changing the computers till it is read. When you get tired of this process and feel that loosing data is better than this exercise then foemat it in the phone. (I hope this situation does not arise.)

Nokia 5300 mobile not reading memory card, though it works fine on other mobile and PC

Try to format your memory card on a pc. after formatting, try putting some songs or any other data on the card from PC and then insert it on to ur mobile phone.
If is still does not work on mobile then you need to contact Nokia as the card is working fine.

SanDisk 8GB SDHC card cannot be read by either computer or T-Mobile Dash phone.

Solution :

Put the card in your phone, link the phone to your pc and format the card through your pc. You should see two additional drives, one for your phones memory and one for your card. I had the same problem with my phone but it is now sorted !
