No hot water from tap . And can not control heating just runs on full

You either have failed heating elements, or your dip tube has corroded and deteriorated.

check out this link, and review that site. Very and highly informational.

Find your only getting Luke warm water @ your faucets??

This is a common fault with new to used installed waterheater.

It is call a diptube ,made of pvc in part description. It is located on cold inlet, top of waterheater.

Malfunction of dip tube is usually a fracture caused by age mostly,or faulty install when new and tube was exposed to high heat from welding .

This tube allows the cold water supply to flow into W/heater and exit at bottom where it is heated while pushing already heated water to hot side and to your faucet. If this tube is defective ei...cracked the cold will [leak] mix with the hot before reaching bottom to be heat..thus lukewarm water syndrome. Solution $8 part H/depot>remove coldside copper fittings and pull white pvc out, about 4feet long, less rotted area, install new 3/4 inch pvc dip tube with flange up.

Why water not staying hot?

Insulate your tank.

How old is your waterheater?

If old, then you may have a broken dip tube / cold water mix tube?

Waterheater does not keep water hot when you get in the shower first thing in the morning you have to turn on only the hot water or the water is cold

1) Unknown water heater type, brand and model.
Check for crossover first to eliminate plumbing problem.

2) Add comment with more information about water heater for possible assistance, and give type, approximate age etc.

Gas waterheater will not stay lit

if water heater heats up and after water is hot turns off you need to replace the control unit (part where all the little pipe hook into) should have an 800 number to call where you can give serial number and model number to see if still under warranty because part is as expensive as new water heater

Nothing wrong with waterheater. Did you perhaps reverse hot/supply lines on new shut off valves?? try reversing lines. Maybe
