Question about Sharp Aquos LC-37GD6U 37 in. LCD HDTV

2 Answers

Hi have a Neoniq 32cm flat screen, and I can't get it to tune - it keeps saying "no Signal" but it is plugged into the aerial and the aerial works because I was using it with an old TV. I can't watch anything on it yet and I don't know why?

I cannot get a signal on my television. All plugged in and aerial connected but screen states no signal. Please advise

Hi Suzie, Is your TV new? have you checked is it compatible with digital broadcast?
When you connect a new television or move from a place to another you need to re-tune the internal decoder in order to watch channels.

Will not tune in channels on auto store

Well, there's your answer then. You have poor aerial signal so the TV cannot lock on when tuning. You need to sort out the reason why there's "Poor or No Signal" You need to fix the aerial, not the TV. I would have thought that was self-evident, surely?

What kind of aerial are you using. Do you know it works? Check out the aerial cables for breaks or badly fitted connector plugs.

My tv screen says no signal with the coaxial cable hooked up

Is your TV aerial plugged in. Do you know if it works. Are you tuning the digital stations (you should be. There are no analogue transmissions any longer)

I lost a few digital channels on an old LG LCD, tried to auto tune but could not retrieve. Followed a tip online that said to auto tune with the antenna cable which will wipe all saved channels, once...

hi your signal could be to strong, on the aerial cable the thin brad rap 4 strands around the center solid pin then retune in auto, if this does not work you may to manual tune it in, or get someone to check your aerial and you could try a firmware update on your tv hope it helps

Got the Nikkai JV-TV888D had no problems at all until now...It won't tune - in and just displays 'No Signal' on the screen! Any help will be gratefully received!

Have you checked that the aerial is plugged in? Does it have an external aerial? If so is it plugged in (Socket on rear takes telescopic or external). If external have you tried aerial on another tv?
If your service is digital is it switched to Digital TV? If it's switched to analogue and you're trying to tune in it wont find signals if you're in a digital area. (or to a certain extent vice versa)

How do you tune in tv channels when you only have a signal input from a satelite dish and no sky decoder. TV is a sharp lc-32l400x with built in freeview. Can we plug dish straight into TV aerial port...

You require a satelite decoder/receiver for your dish and an aerial for your TV.
The choice is yours. Plug a satelite receiver, for freesat, into the A/V input on the TV or have an aerial installed for freeview.

Hi i have hisence 42 inch tv will not tune in keeps saying no signal yet me old tv is fine

Hi there
I am assuming your new TV is now Digital. If so, it will be looking for a different signal to the old TV which was probably analogue. You may need a aerial upgrade/diagnostic to determine if you are recieving a digital signal. Or you can tune in the analogue channels, by switching the new TV to analogue, through the inputs/menu, and then i suggest autotune.
Hope this helps

We have lost our dvb service on our pansonic how do we get it back?

Hi there
Does it say 'no signal'. Try doing a re-tune. If this doesn't help, you may be having problems with your aerial signal.
Hope this helps
