Hello

To reset your laptop into factory default settings you need a installer CD with the Toshiba, Mostly that CD is coming with your Laptop during the time you purchase your laptop. if you have that CD just insert the Cd into DVD or CD drive of your laptop and Press hold F12 and boot from DVD ROM and follow the next instruction and thats it your ALptop is restored into his original Setting which is fatory settings.

Thanks

    maybe system restore?
    or use windows 7 beta..

  • DeadDreamer Apr 11, 2011

You can use system restore to restore your laptop in previous state. System restore will work if you back up your system before, Using windows 7 beta is rather ok, or you can upgrade also you system in windows 7. wihtout loosing any data but some driver might need change.

    thank you

Toshiba Satellite L300D. Laptop will come out of sleep or hibernate mode without prompting and display the login box.

If the login box is displayed when it wakes up, that is usual. It uses a sensor to detect when the lid id open and will come out of standby when it thinks the lid is open.
Re configure the power off settings to avoid standby or sleep mode when the lid is closed.

I need to reset my toshiba L300D-13R to factory settings but am unsuire of how to do this. please could you help

you'll have to use original recovery discs.
1. Insert the disc into the drive.
2. Restart the laptop and press F12 key when you see the Toshiba logo on the screen.
3. Select CD/DVD drive from the boot menu.
4. Press OK and wait until the laptop boot from the CD.
5. Select "Recovery to factory defaults" and press OK. It will take some time to reimage the hard dive.

Warning! This process will erase all personal data from the hard drive. Backup all personal data (pictures, music, documents, etc...) before you reset to factory settings.

or you can go to ezrestorepc.com for all your recovery needs including the toshiba ones.

hope this helps please rate!
