SOURCE: Videos start and stop
Yes the videos you are referring to are probably streaming videos, so once they begin to stream stop the video until the stream reads ahead (the amount will depend on your bandwidth), then once the streaming is well ahead you can start the video again and watch it glitch free unless the video progress starts to catch up to the streaming status at which time you just need to pause again and so forth. You could just wait until the stream is complete and enjoy your video.

SOURCE: shockwave player
Try to download shockwave from this website. http://get.adobe.com/shockwave/ and then save it first to your computer then run it. This is its requirement for PC windows:
Also, I believe shockwave requires some flash updates on your computer and java update. Did you run updates on java and shockwave? Plus make sure that when you are installing shockwave you have admin rights and you anti-virus is not seeing it as a virus.

Click on internet explorer, then on the titlebar, tools-internet explorer, here delete cookies and restore default. this should work. if this does not Click on start-Programs-Accessories-System tools-System restore. here restore your computer to a better date that it worked better. this will not delete your file. Good luck
