I have a sauce syntia coffee machine that is displaying the red Icon 'problems with the water circuit'. Are you able to tell me what I need to do to fix this issue or is it service item only? Thanks Michael

    Hi,

your solution above failed to resolve the issue. I contacted the shop where I purchased the coffeee machine and was told the following:

    turn the coffee machine on
turn the dial to hot water and wait for the machine to prime itself
    turn the machine off
    turn the machine on again

by following this proceedure the machine is now working again.

    Hope this helps someone else.

    Cheers

    Michael

The red icon on front is the call for water, is your machine full? If so the majority of the times it is do to a clogged filter (usually a small metal perforated disk) Check to assure it is fully cleaned, for very difficult clogs soak or you can use a safety pin to clear the more difficult holes. It could also be a scale build up issues so you can perform de-scaling of the machine two - three times one every day and
try to draw out the dissolve water and de-scaling solution in steps with 5 -10
minutes interval. This will give more time to the solution to dissolve the sale
build up in your machine. You can also try a reset. remove the water tank.

Remove power plug and keep aside, Now attach the tank back and test after 1 hour so that it is reset. If this does not clear your Icon after making sure the water tank is full. Then a service call will need to be done as there is some issue with either a sensor or possibly the boiler which has to be perfomed by a trained technician. You can find manual and part6s here for the machine

I am glad that your machine is working and the solution was an easy one, they aren't all that easy and I hope you have a trouble frre life with your coffee machine, I know I can't live without mine. So basically it was the first thing I had thought, that the machine was calling for water, it just wasn't primed. Thank you for the response.

One other thing may need to be done. Clean the internal wand by using a pin. Ours was clogged, even though it was rarely used. Once we did this we went through the priming process and it works

Syntia is not set to "3 beans" amount or beans used are too large to create enough grounds to make a full 9 grams for a good puck .

I have a Saeco Syntia and a Red Wrench with the #14 came on the display. I have turned on and off and now the yellow thermostat symbol comes up. you can feel it heating up but it does nothing else.

need to tell me when the wrench appears ,at start up ? YES? then most likely "over pressure valve" is broken and machine needs to be serviced by service center to replace the plastic part with a metal parts ,Stop using it or the leaking water will damage the system .

Saeco syntia ground coffee chute not working well

The grind on the coffee might be too coarse and instead of making espresso its coming out like drip coffee because the water is running through it too fast.

My Syntia is about 1 yr old and the display shows a red wrench with the #4 in the lower right corner. What does this mean and where is the nearest service center? I live in Oklahoma.

This is a brew unit blocked error. Try turning the machine off for a few seconds and then powering back on. If this does not correct the problem, then the machine needs to go to a service center unless you are very handy. We are located in Houston, and probably your closest service center. Some of the service centers, such as ourselves, do provide free tech support over the phone and may be able to talk you through it.
