Hi This is a symptom of a problem with the backlight or the inverter circuit. If the backlights on your TV won't illuminate then there the first possibility is a fault on your power supply circuit board which is interfering with the normal supply of 24VDC from the power board to the inverter circuit. Please get back to us if you have further query else please accept the suggestion.
Another possibility is a loose wire or connector between the power supply circuit board and the inverter board.
The problem may also lie on the inverter circuit board itself. There are a number of small surface mounted fuses on the inverter board and a failure of any one these will likely cause a loss of the backlight. Or it may just be a short circuit in one of the other components on that board.
Last of all it may even be a damaged or faulty backlilght bulb. So you have to check all these probability to fix your problem.
Be sure you get the lamp from jvc. they,re expensive but you will be guranteed the correct part. there is not a stronger lamp for your set but there are some incompatible bulbs. which you will likely get from online stores.
