What I could reacon from your question is that your audio and video drivers are not installed in your PC.

Please find the Driver softwares of your Audio and video inside the installation disk provided with the PC at the time of purchase or else you can download the same by visiting the website of the company that manufactured the PC.

How do I hook up my Apple TV to onyko 8050 receiver?

Hi Barry
AppleTV has 2 Outputs on the back. One is Optical for Audio Only and requires a Toslink fibre optic cable to get the good quality audio into the 8050 receiver via the Game 1 Port.
The second connector is HDMI which is a compact low profile cable which transfers both HD1080 Video and Left & Right Audio to another device.
The built in WiFi should be picking up your Router WiFi in the house and transferring iTunes music to these Ports. Just play a song on iTunes on your computer & click the icon to select AirPlay on your ATV.
There are a heap of HD TV's and Amp's etc using HDMI these days.
It's the simplest way to get connected & its the best quality.
Unfortunately the Onyko 8050 uses a proprietary port which is not directly compatible.
I noticed all the Video Ports on the back of the Onyko are the old fashioned Yellow RCA connectors. (Called Composite Video.)
There are converter boxes & cables of various sorts that you could use on eBay, Amazon etc.

NOTES:
Many modern Amplifiers also become the main SwitchBox to transfer Video & Audio from one device to another. eg. My Pioneer VSX-922 has 5 HDMI input ports and 1 HDMI output port along with an assortment of RGB & Toslink Inputs & Outputs.
This way (via remote control) I can choose the Apple TV to Connect to the Plasma HD TV or The DVD Player to play Video or Audio to the Speakers. HDMI Makes the cabling so much easier.

For Future reference, when checking out new HiFi gear, always check the ports on the back of the unit.
Your Ports/Cables go by age.
1: Yellow-Composite Video RCA Plug (oldest)
2: Red & White RCA Plug (Audio Left & Right)
3: S-Video-Mini Din Connector (Video Only)
4: RGB- Component Video (Red,Green,Blue-Video Only)
5: DVI- Digital Video Interface (HiDef Video Only)
6: Toslink- Fiber Optic (Audio Only)
7. HDMI-High Definition Media Interface (HD Video & Audio)
I Hope this Explanation Helps Many Others with Similar Problems.

My TV has audio (left & right) & video jacks (red, white &yellow) can I connect my Kenwood KR-V5580 to it for stereo sound If so what do I connect it to video 1 or 2, phone, etc

Audio can usually go either way to a TV. In or Out. Why someone would want to hear external audio through a TV's marginal audio electronics and speaker(s) is beyond me, but sometimes that is what they want.

Take the audio from the receiver via whatever unused Tape or Video function connectors you like to the TV's Audio L & R IN. Anything the receiver processes will be audible through the TV as long as you DON'T select that function for listening on the receiver.

Listening to TV-related audio through the receiver and its (presumably better) speakers makes much more sense, but again, the TV's marginally audio capabilites place a serious limitation on sound quality expectations. In your case, stereo is as good as it could be.

If your TV has Audio Out jacks, just run them to any convenient Line Level input (NOT Phono). If your TV has internal audio controls for volume, set it to Fixed so the TV's volume control doesn't affect the sound going out to the Kenwood.

A better TV-related audio solution would be to connect the BEST audio of whatever source you're watching directly from that source to the receiver. Cable, DVD/BD, SAT always have 2-channel analog RCA connectors as well as (unusable on the Kenwood) digital audio outputs.

VIDEO from the Kenwood to the TV:

You describe your TV having Composite (3 -RCA-style cables). The Kenwood is limited to Composite (Lower-quality, single Video RCA-style cable). Check your TV for a single Video In connection and run THAT from the Kenwood's Monitor Out so you can pass other video through the receiver.

In its day this receiver was pretty high-end but to really enjoy modern multichannel audio from video sources you might consider an upgrade to a true multichannel Audio Video Receiver. For one thing it would support digital audio and probably Component and HDMI video. You could still use the Kenwood's amplifiers to drive speakers or as a secondary system.

Can I hook up my tv wirelessly to my home network?

Well I have, using those 2.4GHz AV Video/Audio Senders/Receivers, and as long as the PC you wish to watch has Composite Video OUT, then you can connect the "Sender" to the Video & Audio OUT, this in turn is "Transmitted" to the Receiver, that OUTPUTS again composite Video & Audio to the TV's Composite Video IN and AV IN. Yellow Video & Red & White are Audio IN. Works a treat.

Tried to hook up hd cables and seems good but no audio tried to hook up but can't get to work

You cannot get AUDIO from Component Video, as it is only VIDEO, you must get another set of Cables RED & WHITE, and connect them from the AV, AUDIO Jacks, OUT on the "Sender" The DVD, Receiver etc, to the AV AUDIO IN on the TV. So you will have 5 Cables connecting BOTH Video & Audio. The Component Video, uses Blue, Green, & Red, these go color to color on the RCA Jacks at BOTH ends PLUS the Red & White Audio, color to color at BOTH ends. .Hope that clears things up.

How can I view my ipod pics on my TV screen

1. OK on your iPod and click "Videos" from the main menu. Click on "Video Settings" and then switch the "TV Out" function to "On" by clicking on it.

Plug the iPod audio video cable input to the correct iPod plug-in. The cable's input varies from cable to cable but will either plug into the headphone jack or the power output.

Plug the other end of the audio video cable into the television's video output. The cable has three audio video plug-ins colored red, yellow and white. Plug them into the TV's corresponding inputs.

Turn on the television and change the input to the same one you plugged the iPod into.

Select the video you'd like to play on your iPod. The iPod's video and audio will be redirected to your television.

I change Component Cable Video & Audio 6 cables

I might sound stupid but Double check that you`ve connected the correct connectors as in All Inputs plugs being used or All outputs plugs being used. If you have one of these leads with 6 connectors on one lead, (Audio Input L+R, Video Input, Audio Output L+R, Video Output) You need to make sure that if you get sound from the audio input plugs, then you must use the video input plug and vice verse.
