You probably have a two dekstop's. One as a single user, and second for common use. Try to re-locate "Desktop" folder to new location with better control. (use regedit)
First connect your mobile to the pc and your then your memory card or the pc opens now copy the pictures which you want and then paste them in your c: drive or dekstop
If you can get into bios check if it recognizes the RAM and the Hard Drive, if it does not find the hard drive, check the HD cables for untighted cable, change the power cable, look for damaged pins or wrongly inserted cable (on an IDE HD data cable),
do you hear the (tric-tric-tric) of the HD when the computer starts?, the HD may be damaged.
Try extracting the video card and reinstall pressing firmly.
pull out the mainboard battery, wait 10 sec. and restore (even better replace with new one), you will need to recalibrate the bios date and time (and other settings if they where changed).
