Re-set you modem to default setting by pushing and holding the reset button. OR Download Wireless Key View at this site, scroll down near the bottom of page: http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/wireless_key.html
The network password/encryption key is in the Netgear wireless settings. These settings eg. SSID and encryption key is used to configure the wireless card in the laptop or computer so it can connect to the wireless router.
no
setup cd needed. after connecting to a PC, open browser and type in
192.168.0.1 or perhaps 192.168.1.1 -- when the router displays it will
ask for a password. if you had one and can't remember it do a hard
reset to return to factory settings. then log into it leaving the
username blank with the default factory password. many times that
password is admin -- download
the owner's manual that will have the default password and instructions
and explanations for the settings, including how to do a "hard, factory" reset for free at the manufacturer's
website. try the help, support, or download sections. the drivers are
there too.
What password? Are you referring to the WEP or WPA-PSK password? If yes, I would like to inform you that no one could give you the exact WEP or WPA key. Even if you check the utility of the router.
What you need to do is to reset the router to factory default and then reconfigure the router. That's the only way that you could do in order to set a new password.
Follow the steps in this guide, and you will get to the page where you will see your network key.
The default Ip address is 192.168.2.1 and you leave the pasword blank and click submit. Now if you had set up a password, you will have to type it in.
If you can not remember yor password , then you will need to reset the router: Step 1 Locate the reset pinhole on the back of the unit. Step 2 With the unit powered on, press and hold the Reset button. Step 3 Hold the Reset button for about 10 seconds. Step 4 Release the Reset button. Step 5 The unit will reboot. Allow 20-30 seconds before reconnecting. Step 6 The device is now at factory defaults. When it says hold for about 10 seconds, don't hold for more than ten seconds or the procedure will likely fail, if ten seconds doesn't work try 5 seconds. Then you can log in to the router's page @ 192.168.2.1 and set up a new Security key. If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it. Thanks, Joe
There?s not much you can do. Try to put the router?s default password which is ?admin? (lower case) and then copy the settings so you can reconstruct them after the reset of the router.
Hope it works good luck.
