Question about Microsoft Xbox 360 Console
This could mean either there is something wrong with your Xbox's GPU or there's something wrong with the cable you use to connect to your TV.
Likely it is a problem with the A/V cable you use, whether it be component, composite, HDMI, or VGA. Make sure the cables are securely plugged in to the TV, and if you have multiple ports for them to go to, try another one. Next time your screen goes black, try to move around the cable and replug it into the TV, see if it affects anything. If it does affect the black screen, then it's the TV's or the cable's problem, likely the TV's. This can obviously be fixed by getting a new TV or cable.
If it isn't the cable's problem, and you've tried with multiple kinds of cables to no avail, then you're unfortunately looking at almost certainly a problem with your console. You can either buy a new one, or send it into Microsoft to have it fixed by them. GPU failures are a serious problem, and should be tended to right away before they can get worse.
