For a 9300 Bissell cleaner, how do you replace the flex hose? The outer part detaches easily, but the inner hose does not. How do you remove and replace it?

The user manual and guides do not go through the steps to replace the flex hose.

The manuals describe taking the unit apart, the hose is a tight fit and takes some force to remove and replace. If the unit is apart it is much easier. These steps areent outlined in the manuals because they rarely need replaced. Basically you need to remove the tank, and the main housing and possibly the motor duct. The handle will also need lowered. to get to the hose and have enough clearance to remove it.

Bissell Bagless Upright Vacuum not working

If your Bissell upright vacuum cleaner is not cleaning like it did when it was new, then you need to provide a bit of maintenance or service. I will tell you how you can do this maintenance to your Bissell vacuum.

First, make sure that your floor vacuum is unplugged. Then you can work safely on your Bissell bagless vacuum.

If your Bissell upright vacuum is losing suction, then the next thing to check is the canister. It is very easy to simply forget to dump the canister.
The while you have the canister out, check the filter inside the canister to make sure that it is not plugged full of dirt. This filter can be difficult to access, but a little persistence will pay off. When you get the bottom of the cup open and remove the filter, use a bit of soapy water to wash out the filter. You can then reassemble the filter into the bottom of the canister.

On the left side of the vacuum there is also a HEPA filter Bissell has there to help filter the air even more. Remove that, clean it also and replace it.

The hose is the next thing to check. You can completely detach the hose from the vacuum. Check the hole at the bottom where the hose hooks up to make sure the hole is not plugged. Then stretch out the hose and run something like a coat hanger through it to make sure that there are no obstructions inside the hose. You should be able to hold the hose up to a light and see right through it.

The last thing to check is your Bissell vacuum belt. If the belt is too loose it will slip and not spin the brush properly. Bissell belts can be purchased online easily, or in many grocery stores. If your Bissell upright cleaner has a slipping belt, it may also be because of strings, carpet pieces, etc… getting wrapped around the brush. Remove the vacuum brush and cut off everything that is wrapped around it. Always be careful of the vacuum belt after you have just used your vacuum. The belt will be very hot just after use.

These steps will help you to get your Bissell upright vacuum cleaner working like new again.

Water will not spray on my Bissell Proheat 2x Carpet cleaner

proheat 9300

assuming the water will flow with the tool attachement but not to the carpet.

Remove the water tank. You will see 2 red tabbed plastic spray tubes.(where the spray comes out if not clogged) Pinch the clips to remove from the machine. Then you will need to pinch the hose clips to remove the red tabs from the hose. Clean out those red spray nozzles. Next step: have a towel ready and fill the solution tank with water. Put the solution (not water) tank on to where the water tank would go. Place the machine selection knob to rinse/wet only. Now with towel under the hoses that you removed the red tabs. Turn on the machine and pull the trigger to activate the water. You should see water flow out of the hoses that had the red tabs on them. If not, release and pull again the trigger several times. If only 1 hose has water coming out of it then block the one that works and try the process above again to de clog the one that isn't working. Good luck.

Assuming this is the pro heat version
Most likely you have some debris blocking the system. You need to follow the hand tool cleaning instructions.
remove the hand tool and manually wash it
select the tools cleaning option
place the tube in a bowl of clean water and allow it to **** the water up - this should clean out any blockages in the pipe.

You put hot tap water (never boil water) into the clear bag through an opened hole in the canister. The dirty water will be correct outside of the bag. You remove the dirty water by open the valve at the bottom of the canister.

good luck

Bissell website had this link in the faq pages-------

To get your machine functioning properly, please make sure the power cord is plugged into a working outlet. Check the inner and outer circular filters and the post-motor filter for debris. Also, check the upper-tank louvers, this can be removed and rinsed. Reduced air-flow from the dirty filters or from clogs in the hose will put greater stress on the motor, increasing the possibility for overheating.

If you continue to experience no power, please take your machine to a local BISSELL Authorized Service Center. To locate your nearest BISSELL Authorized Service Center, go to the BISSELL Homepage at: http://www.bissell.com. Select the "Customer Service" tab at the top of the page and then select "Service Centers" from the drop down menu. Enter your zip code to perform your search.

You can also locate a Service Center by phone, 24 hours a day, by calling 1-800-237-7691 and choosing option #1.

I hope this helps
