Question about Crosman Optics

Open Question

I just installed a centerpoint 4x16x40 scope on my crosman phantom pellet rifle with a accushot medium profile mount and it shoots about a foot too high with elevation adjusted all the way up. Any ideas?

SOURCE: I have a model D-4 weaver rifle scope with missing adjustment par

Pretty much all rifle scopes have great warranties. Send it into weaver and i'm sure they will fix it plus replace any parts. I'm sure they will charge for missing parts but it would be best for them to look at it and check it out. TP

SOURCE: rifle scope will not track with the adjustments

When you make your adjustment tap on the scope with a small screw driver handle a few times before you fire her. Work slow and tap as you go.

SOURCE: scope elevation adjusted allthe way up & still shoots low

Bushnell sells nylon inserts for scope rings that fit inside of the scope rings and will affect the height of the ring to correct the problem. If you install them on the front scope ring, it will correct it and realign the rings correctly. It appears that the front ring towards the muzzle is not as high as the rear ring near the breach. This is why that even though the scope's adjustment is elevated as high as it will go, it is still hitting low because it is actually pointing down because apparently the rear ring is higher off the barrel than the front ring. The Bushnell inserts can correct this.

If it new, it must have a warranty of some kind. Use the link below to contact customer service for help.

Crosman recommends that you take to a service center, and adds the following. >DO NOT ATTEMPT TO DISASSEMBLE IT< Your Phantom requires special tools and fixtures to repair it. Any disassembly or modification not performed by an authorized service center will void the warranty.

This is a new pellet rifle, but it is not getting sufficient compression. DH would like to know what to do to fix it. Thank you, daht

Lubricate everything generously with Marvel Mystery oil.Your new pellet gun is probably leaking around the seals.Oil improves the seals.Be sure to wipe off excell oil before shooting.
