Hi mwaltz48,

Yes, Huskys have a screw adjustment on the bottom, under the chain sprocket assembly.
While looking at the bar side of the saw, turn it over and you'll see a screw that has 3 positions.
Turn the screw to the right will decrease the oil flow, left to increase it. If you put a longer blade on, you should increase the oil flow.

A way to check your oil flow is to run the saw with the blade pointing at something light, such as a freshly cut chunk of wood, or the end of a log, etc. You should see a light line of oil appear.

I hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate your vote. Thanks,

Handie Andie

I have a husq/136 chain saw 2002 replaced oil ppump and pich up tube it still pumps to much oil on chain

this can happen when the two plates are missing that go on each side of the blade, or there is a oil adjust screw that controls output of oil, but lots of oil is a good thing as long as it last a tank of gas, if not it can be a bad thing !

Husqvarna chansaw 440e spitting to much bar oil

The 440 has a fixed non adjustable oil pump, it can only deliver a set amount of oil, it is regulated by engine revs, so if you are only cutting small branches it will have high revs and will deliver more oil.

Husqvarna 340 will not idle

To set the H and L adjustments, screw them in until they lightly seat. Then back both out 1 1/2 turns. This will get you in the ballpark. They will still need to be fine tuned for proper settings.

Husqvarna chainsaw 440e - enough chain lube?

That seems low to me. Page 15 in your manual is the only oil discussion I found. Usually there is an oil pump adjustment reference somewhere. I didn't see one beyond return it for service on page 15. Are the chain and bar hot after cutting a while? I recommend you not get a longer bar without an oiler adjustment. I think the hand of the EPA has been here.

An IPL (exploded parts list) for a 440 can be found here:
There is no oiler adjuster listed. HTH
Might be a good idea to copy the IPL,

My chain is not getting oiled when I use the saw.

Sounds like the oiler is clooged where the oil comes out on the chain. Probablly has sawdust in it. Remove the chain guidebar and clean the oiler.
