It is possible that the mirror on your shutter has come loose and when you rotate the camera it warps the image.

Contact a canon service center near you.

Thank you I adjusted the Viewfinder Diopter Adjustment using the method on the Canon site, I accidently pressed the shutter button so the shutter operated and after that the problem corrected itself. So Im sure the mirror had moved. At least I dont have to get my eyes tested now!! Thank you once again.

Cant see through my view finder on powershot s3 is

Your camera has an electronic view finder. To switch between the view finder and the display, you have to press the DISP. button several times and look what happens in Shooting mode and what in Playback mode. If only the display will come on, and the viewfinder stays black the camera will have a defect. If you can't use the camera anymore, because you only can shoot with the viewfinder, consider buying a new camera, because any repair will be more expensive than a new camera with the same quality.

The image in the view finder is distorted

It's possible it got bent out of shape. The viewfinders in pocket cameras are secondary to the rear screen, and some more recent models lack them entirely.

The reason why the screen is better in these cameras is because the main lens, and the viewfinder are separate by a few inches, so what you see in the view finder, and what the camera takes a picture of can vary by quite a bit.

Camera eos 50D started giving an error 99 code, I updated firmware through a download. soon after it started giving an error 50 code. what is happening and what should I do?

Receiving multiple error codes definitely indicates that your camera should be taken in for service. Unfortunately, there is nothing you can do on your end in terms of troubleshooting or fixing a range of error codes. The camera needs to be sent in for service. If your camera's still under warranty, you can ship it in to the nearest Canon warehouse and have it repaired for free.

Query Regarding No Display on LCD (view finder) in Canon Digital IXUS 750

With the camera on, have you tried pressing the DISP button once? It's the lower left button on the back of the camera. It manually turns the display on or off as desired to save batteries (you can then aim through the optical viewfinder).
