Two things to check:

1. the bobbin tension. Is it too tight? It should pull out without a ton of resistance but should have just a bit.

2. Is the material sheer or thin? If you can drop the dogfeed a bit you might want to do that or you can sew through tissue paper (on the bottom side) to keep the material from being pulled down.

If those things don't help you might try lengthening the stitch just a tad and make sure the needle you're using is the right size for the fabric.

Keeping the thread in needle when you begin to sew

after threading the needle pull about 6" of thread out the back under the press foot
that way the thread is jammed under the foot and is held in place for the next thread
bobbin thread should also be out the back
when you have finished sewing then lift the foot and move the material sewed about 6"" away from the foot before cutting the threads

Ruffler foot bobbin tangles

I suspect that the bobbin thread you are talking about is in fact the top thread that has been pulled under the material, make sure that the top thread is pulled into the tention discs firmly and that there is no fuzz in with the thread, also make sure the top thread is properly threaded and is actually in the take up bar .

I have a Singer Touch and sew 600e, the bobbin thread is all bunched up and machine jams up with thread. How can I fix this? Is there a simple setting that I am missing.

try changing the needle
rethread the machine top & bobbin
make sure the bobbin is inserted correctly in the bobbin case
make sure the top thread is not coming off the thread take up lever
make sure the bobbin is wound correctly
if these suggestions don't work, I suggest that you take the machine
to a sewing machine shop to have it checked

I threaded it all right i have cheacked it many times but the thread in the bobbin keeps getting jammed

Many causes for this problem. Most common are;
  1. Top thread not inserted correctly.(must keep thread tight.)
  2. Debris and loose thread around the bobbin cage. All it takes is a tiny piece of thread in the right place.
  3. Bobbin inserted backwards in the "bobbin holder". When installed correctly, There is some resistance when you pull on the thread, but the bobbin will spin without trying to pop out of the "bobbin holder".

Cotton keeps getting knotted from the bobbin

upper tension is wrong or upper threading is wrong (problem is always on the other side of the bunched thread)

Machine is threaded but thread not sewing into material, just holes!

Check bobbin thread....Insert the bobbin thread into the bobbin case in a clockwise direction...pull the thread through the **** on side of bobbin case and slide up into small opening...make sure you pull through about 2 inches of thread to enable upper thread to loop. Good Luck

Lower thread keeps jamming in bobbin compartment - urrgggg

Take the bobbin carriage out and clean it really good. Use the little brush that comes with your machine and brush everything. When m y machine jams up like that it usually means there is lint or thread caught in the bobbin carriage.

Bobbin thread jam

You can remove the thread jam by moving the hand wheel back and forth. Remove the bobbin case and bobbin.Unthread and remove the needle.Rock the handwheel back and forth. Don't be rough but you will need to exert a little pressure to get this thread to come out. What you are doing is cutting the thread which is locked inside the hook race.

Your problem is a simple one.Jamming is due to thread getting trapped on the bobbin holder. All you need to do is to unscrew two screws holding the the bobbin holder clean the same and reasseble it.your problem will be solved.N.Govindarajan
