Question about Apple iPod touch

1 Answer

I have had a 4th generation Touch for a couple of weeks. I use bluetooth compatible hearing aids. Today the volume shows it is turned all the way up, but I can barely hear it. Tried reseting but it didn't help. What can I do?

Hi jgmoore5043,

Compared to iPod touch 3G the 4G's volume is really extremely low and this is a known issue with the 4G iPod touch. This has something to do with the software. The only fix you can have on this is (1) You may contact Apple directly and have the volume issue be fixed (2) You may contact a local service man who can jailbreak and try to put some of the volume boost apps or try to go back to 3.1.3.With this issue since the device is newly purchased and still under warranty contact Apple and ask them the best option for this. Here is the contact #: (800) APL-CARE (800-275-2273).

Hope it helps.

Thank you for using Fixya.

How can I pair my resound hearing aid with my iPhone Bluetooth?

Your hearing aid must be blue tooth compatible or you must have a streamer (usually designed to wear on a lanyard) that will connect to your Bluetooth on the iPhone.

First make sure your hearing aids or streamer is turned on.
Go to the Settings icon on your iPhone and click on it. Scroll down to Bluetooth and make sure it is turned to On, then click on it.
You will see a list of Devices that your iPhone senses in the vicinity. Your hearing aid or streamer should be recognized there.
If it is not, then turn the hearing aids or streamer off and and back on again and it should show up. Click on the device under My Devices. If it asks your for a pairing code, 0000 is usually the default. It might also be 1234.

That should do it for you. Enjoy!

How do you add an app to

Only when your hearing aid has bluetooth, you could be able to connect it to a smart phone. But the manual that came with the hearing aid, should mention what systems are compatible with the hearing aid. Like iOS (Apple), Android or Windows (Microsoft)
Then the manual also will say what app you have to install and how to get it.
Pairing, goes with switching on bluetooth and most of the time you have to enter a code to allow the systems to pair. The code for your hearing aid should be in the manual.

So far I have found no one else who has made this repair, so I hope my video will help some people out...

Ipod touch volume control stuck

Just press and hold the lock button down until there's a slider that says "slide to turn off" (or similar). this will force your ipod to reboot. Once it shuts down, push and hold the lock button again until you see the apple logo. that should fix it.

The volume on my ipod nano 4th Generation won't turn up all the way

You have the volume limit adjusted so that it won't blow your ear drums out.  Go into your settings and turn the volume limiter off.

Can't hear anything in my bluetooth headset, mic is working

Hi--First, make sure your "mute" function is off.  Try holding both volume buttons at the same time for a second or two.  If that doesn't help, while you're having a conversation, either with or without bluetooth, make sure your phone's volume is turned up.  On a lot of phones the volume button will control both ringer and conversation volumes, but turning it up without the phone in use only affects the ringer volume.  My husband thought there was something wrong with his bluetooth until we noticed his phone volume was set too low--not as noticeable on handset, but bluetooth apparently needs volume up pretty high!
