It started working fine when leaving Disneyland, then just outside Las Vegas the screen froze. It said it was aquiring sat., but now it is frozen with LV map, arrival time, but no other information on it i.e., turn in...; street names, etc. The + nor - on the map works either - it is completely frozen. Can't even turn it off.

Have you tried holding down the power button for 10 seconds. You don't have listed what type of GPS it is so this is my only suggestion at the moment. My next suggestion would be to contact the manufacturer of your unit if its still under warranty Im sure they will make it right by you.

I hope this helps you out if it does please leave me a YES that I did try and help you. Thank you

Engine cuts out

Try this. When you get to work leave the bike running and turn the fuel selector knob to off and let it run til it cuts off. It will drain the fuel from the carbs and trap the rest in the tank. It removes the air bubble in the lines problem so when you get ready to leave, switch the fuel on and wait a few minutes then crank her up and ride.

My magellan position froze in Colorado and stays frozen.

try a hard reset. start the gps and using a paper clip insert it in the little pin hole on the side of your 4040 and take the gps outside in full view of the open sky and let it aquire the satellites, it may take up to 30 minutes it lock on to the satellites. if that fails, follow the link below to update the unit to the latest firmware for the 4040 you must register it on the magellan site before they will let you download anything.
