Wah pedal makes sctaching sound

You need a tech to replace your potentiometer. They can sometimes be cleaned but many are built in a away that makes that impossible.

Hi i have a slash crybaby wah pedal. every time i turn it on their is no signal the batteries are new and the cables and guitar and amplifier work it is just the pedal do you have any solutions on...

First thing is to verify that the in and out cable are to the correct side. These units will bypass in the wrong direction so the fact they pass when off does not guarantee they are cabled correctely. Other problems can include broken solder at the in or out connector. Dos the indicator light come on?

Blue light Slash Wah pedal. After a few weeks the blue light has stopped coming on (I run it on official 18V adapter). Rest of pedal works fine, as before. Would love to have those blue lights working...

First thing to ty is to try it using two 9 volt batteries as a test to see if lights work.

I ASSUME that you are NOT trying to use the pedal in the external effects loop (send and return) as the levels are not compatible. The pedal must be between the guitar and the inout of the amp.

Beyond this I would open the unit and look for something loose or broken where the blue LED is located.

I have a CryBaby 535Q for repair, but everything is microelectronics and can't see if something is blown. The wah sound does not activate with the switch activation.

Check the switch itself... they OFTEN get broken mechanically... far more than the electronics failure. Use an ohmmeter to check the switch. Second most common failure is in the power adapters or use of the wrong adapter.

Not sure what is wrong with the pedal but no sound is coming from it - the bypass light flicks on and off when i click the bypass but once the pedal is 'activated' it's completely dead! Help...

Common cause is weak battery (the LED is NOT an indication the battery is good as it will still light long after the battery is too weak). The second common problem is the input and output cables are backwards. The unit will pass audio with them backward, but NOT when you activate.

All lights on and no sound . Only work in bypass .

Make sure you have the in and output cable to the correct side. If backward it would act as yours does. If they are correct, time for servicing the unit.

Wah wont always bypass when I let off.

The switch has probably failed or the pad that actuates it. These things take a beating. Verify that the switch is mechanically working, and then check with ohmmeter. The pad triggering the switch gets worn and fails to actuate the switch completely is common on pedals. The internal parts of the switches fail... NOTE: many of these switches have metric mounts and are hard to find exact repalcements.

When i select the wah pedal funtion, it does not make the wah

You are apparently talking about an FX pedal with a built in wah function. Which pedal and model number? The Digitech RP350 for instance has a special procedure for initializing and recalibrating the pedal. Is that the problem or is it maybe the opto isolator ?

Weeping Demon pedal broke

Suspect that the circuit board may have cracked in the vicinity of the power jack. Also check for a switch under the pedal. SOme have them and it might be broken.
