Question about Philips Philishave HQ7782 Electric Shaver

1 Answer

My Philishave HQ7782 runs out of battery after only two of the three lights come on. Seems to me the battery has reached the end of its life. 1. Can you please give me full details of thebattery for replacement purposes. I may have to get a battery by another manufacturer - eg, Braun. (Note: I am visually impaired and do not have the special screwdrive to take the back off and look for myself - likewise with any soldering necessary to install a replacement battery) 2. I have had this one for going on four years - would it be better to replace the battery or the shaver? Looking forward to hearing from you - because of difficulty searching through weblinks, I'd appreciate it if you can give any solutions to me directly via email as well as posting them on the webpage. Regards, Robert.

Yes, thank-you very much. I like the HQ7782 shaver and am cross with Philishave for discontiuing it! I know where I can get another so will do so. Again, thank-you for your assistance.

Greetings from New Zealand. Thank-you Paul for your help with this; I'm somewhat annoyed with Philishave for discontinuing the HQ7782 model shaver - there's really nothing to replalce it. I think it's worth it to use that "cool skin" system, and I know where I can get another so will do that.
    Kind regards, and thankks again.

Thank-you Paul, that was very helpful; as you say, buying a new one is the way to go - I did not realise batteries were so costly. Tried to send this off to you earlier but didn't seem to get anywhere. I like the Philishave "Cool Skin" shavers and know where I can get another one at a reasonable price so will do that.
    Thank-you again - kind reagards,

Hi, Robert.

I have done the recearch for you on your razor.
First, the razor model is discontinued.
Second, the replacement, solder only batteries are available, but the cost is only $4 dollars less than a new razor.

I would just go and get a new razor, as it would come with a factory warranty, and be new with all the modern attachments and features.

I hope this helps you out, and good luck to you.
