your horn is not working because;

1. The horn might be defective and needs to be replaced.
2. The horn wire/cord might have been disconnected

If you find the wire being disconnected, reconnect it and the horn should work. But if the wire is intact, remove the horn, connect it to a 4 AA battery and observe if it will make any noise in order to confirm if the horn is defective or not. If the horn does not make any sound, then it means you have to replace the horn.

So, check any of the two above mentioned as one has to be the cause of the problem.

Good luck.

Need to know the location of horn in a 1979 vw super beetle

Hi Paul:
If the horn works, have someone push the horn button. Then you get to follow the sound.
HINT - Horns are usually located at the front of the vehicle, behind a grille or bumper.

What is the horn relay location for 1979 trans am?

The dual horns are located between the radiator and engine...the horn button controls the must remove the steering wheel to gain access to the horn button spring assembly...pre-air bag so not a big deal to remove the steering wheel on your 79 T/A...hope this helps.

My horn won't work. I've replaced the fuse and the relay. The steering wheel clicks. So what do I do next?

if the steering wheel clicks when you push on the horn then the wiring from the horn pad out to the horn is good.if it clicked before you replaced the parts then you didn`t have to replace them.check the horn at the horn,with someone pushing on the horn pad tap the horn to see if it will try to work if so then the horn needs to be replaced if not then run a power wire from the battery positive to the connector at the horn if the horn works again the horn needs replacing.

Where is my horn relay located in my 92 olds cutlas cruiser ?

have you checked the fuse for the horn you don`t say what you have done to this point,if the fuse is good and you hear a click when you push on the horn button, then the horn relay is good as that is what is clicking,if not you will have to check the horn itself as some relays won`t work if the horn not itself is not working,by running a jumper wire from the battery positive to the terminal on the horn, it should work if not then the horn is the problem.the relay is on the fuse panel under the dash.I think it is a square sided relay

Need wiring diagram for a 1979 yamaha xs750 special, where all the wires go into the headlight that run horn,blinkers and headlight

G'Day mate
Check out this site to find the exact model of your bike from the VIN here. You can get a wiring diagram for your model from the website. There is usually a mess in the headlight tub, lots of dodgy previous owner "fixes". Sometimes it pays to strip it all out and work your way through it. Happy to give you advice on the electrics of this bike. I have plenty of experience:)
