Hi.

This isn't a problem with your computer, facebook redid the format...again.
I hate it when they do that.

Now, when you want to make a comment, in the comment block type in as you normally would.
But now, instead of hitting a comment button, you justpress enter, and it is supposed to autopost the comment.

I think that it is a poor design, as it confuses most of the users on facebook.
Wonder what they will screw up next.

Sorry if this had you confused, it sure did me, until I typed a message into a comment block and pressed enter to start a new paragraph.
Instead of starting a line line, it posted, and after checking with facebook, that was when i found out that they changed it.

I hope this helps you out, please feel free to give me a good rating.

Thanks!

Hi there!

this can be an issue with the browser you're using (internet explorer). you can try using other browsers (firefox, google chrome). make sure you allow java settings if something like that comes up your screen when you access facebook. you can also try resetting the settings of your internet explorer if you dont have other browsers, click on (tools -- internet options -- advanced tab -- reset), tools is on top of you internet explorer window. also, double check if you have the comments field enabled from your facebook account settings.

How to Insert Friends names in Status updates and comments?

You can update your status in Facebook from Home and Profile page. If you want to include name of person whom you want to convey the message, then type @ first, followed by the name of person you want to include. You can get the names of your friends in dropdown that appears once you start punching in letters. You can include friends in comments also by using @.<br /><br />When you include your friend in status update via @, then those friends will see it in their wall, but nobody can comment on that post in your friend's wall. One have to click 'View Post' to open the post and then can comment on that same post. But friends can comment on the same wall post in your profile.<br /><br />You would get notifications like ' &lt;your friend name&gt; mentioned you in a comment/wall post'.<br />

"Like" button has disappeared, and add photo option

Brenda - Are you talking about all posts (on your news feed) or on someone specific's wall? Regardless, you should be able to see the three engagement links ( Like - Comment - Share) at the bottom of a post, with a camera icon in the comments box to add a photo. Does your's look like this?

How to log out of facebook sharing

Facebook gives you the necessary privacy controls to adjust sharing on your profile. You can limit how people tag you in photos and videos, stipulate how people comment or share your posts and restrict the ability to share content or make posts to your Facebook wall. Additionally, you can prevent people from revealing your location through Facebook Places, which is especially important when you don't want all your friends knowing where you are. The Facebook Places feature lets you or your friends check in at different locations and share where you are with the convenience of a mobile phone.

Sign in to your Facebook account, go to the "Account" menu and select "Privacy Settings." Go to the "Sharing on Facebook" section and click the "Customize Settings" link near the bottom. Go to the "Things Others Share" section and edit the settings you want to change. Click the "Edit Settings" button for "Photos and videos you're tagged in" if you want to restrict who can see the photos and videos you are in. Click the check box for "Friends can post on my Wall" to deselect the item. When you do this, then your friends cannot post or share items to your Facebook wall. Click "Edit Settings" for the "Friends can check me in to Places" option. On the next screen, select the "Enabled" button and switch it to "Disabled." Click the "Okay" button when done. Now your friends cannot share your location.

Unable to like or share in fb

Facebook's "Like" function allows you to express support or enjoyment for the posts your friends share to the news feed or your wall. When you "Like" a shared item, it notifies the original poster and anyone else who has liked or commented on the post. By using this function, you can participate in the discourse about the post without actually needing to type a single word.

Navigate to Facebook and sign in to your account. Locate the shared post you want to "like." Try scrolling through your news feed or navigating to the page belonging to the person who shared the post if you have difficulty finding it. Click the "Like" link, located below the shared post. You will see a message saying "You like this" under the link once the "like" has been successfully submitted. Share Articles on Facebook b> Facebook is increasingly used as a news source by its millions of users. Facebook friends and fans receive and share news of interest through status updates and links to outside articles. Sharing articles on Facebook is easy. You can share an article by posting it to your wall for your friends or fans to see, or you can send it to just a few friends by direct message.

b>Log in to Facebook with your email address and password. Click "Link," located to the right of "Share," near the top of your homepage. Copy the Web address of the article you want to share, and paste it in the box. Click "Attach." Add a message to the post if you wish, then click "Share." The article will appear on your wall and in the news feeds of your friends or fans. b> Posting Directly from Another Site b> Locate the share button near the article. This button may appear as "Like," "Recommend" or "Share on Facebook." Once you click it, a new box will open. Log in to Facebook if you have not already done so. Click "Post to Profile," then "Post," to share the article on your wall. b> Share Using Direct Message b> Click "Messages" from the left-hand column of Facebook. Select "+New Message" near the top of the page. Type the name of the person to whom you are sending the article. Add your message, and paste the link. Click "Send." Hope this helps.

Just wanted to know if blocked friends can see my photo's on a mutual friends wall?

According to http://www.facebook.com/help/?page=841#!/help/?faq=15656 , they will not be able to see your Wall posts, or comments on mutual friends' Walls.

However, they will see your comments on content that is posted by a mutual friend. You will see their comments as well.

How to post adult comments in www.tagged.com

  • 1) using the Post Comment links or Quick Comment field on other users' Tagged pages
  • 2) clicking the Comment icon under their profile photo on your Friends page, or
  • 3) selecting Post Comment from the Profile drop-down in the top navigation menu
  • 4) clicking the"Forward" (formerly, "Re-post") link at the bottom of any comment that has been posted to someone's profile
post_comment_dropdown.jpg
If you use methods #1 or #2, the user you've selected will automatically appear in the first slot on your recipient list. If you wish to send your comment to more users, just use the multi-friend selector to add them to the list. If you only wish to send your comment to the user you selected, simply fill out the comment field and hit the 'Post' button without choosing any other users. You can also use the Widgets tabs to spice up your comments with Photos, Widgets, embed code and more! (If you wish to leave a comment on your own profile page, you can still enter your text/code into the Quick Comment field on your profile.)
