Question about Computers & Internet

Open Question

Okay, since saturday april 2, 2011 i have not been able to get on to facebook because this pops up: Web Acceleration Client Error (533.1) - Request Entity Maximum Size Exceeded The Web Acceleration Client cannot process the HTTP request because the length of the URL or request header exceeds the maximum supported size able to be processed by the Web Acceleration Client At first i thought that facebook was having a technical problem, but now that doesn't seem like it's the reason. How can i get back onto the website without this popping up?

Change your Internet settings from the control. Enable user to view pages that do not have a rating. Also reduce the security level by one notch. Restart, and now try it.......sodeep

SOURCE: Bad Request

If "your browser sent a request that this server could not understand"
and "size of request header field exceeds server limit", your request
is a bad or oversized cookie. (The same thing is true for "Error 400").

For some very strange reason, it seems 9 of
10 Bad Request messages implicate Firefox.

Simply delete your "Cookies" and everything
will be okay. Don't worry about erasing them;
nothing bad will happen. You won't lose your
internet browser's "Bookmarks" or "Favorites".
The worst thing that could happen is you will
be asked to retype your username/password
when you return to YouTube and some other
websites -- that's all.

As you're dumping your cookies, you should
also erase all your "Temporary Internet Files"
and "History". This will render your computer
totally "fresh" in YouTube's eyes. It would be
best if you shutdown / reboot after doing this:

Internet Explorer 6:
> Tools > Internet Options
> Delete Cookies > OK
> Delete Files > OK
> Clear History > Yes
> OK

Internet Explorer 7:
> Tools > Internet Options > Delete...
> Delete files > Yes
> Delete cookies > OK
> Delete history > OK
> Close (browsing history window)
> OK

Peace,
B

Website not displayed error http 500

The Web server (running the Web Site) encountered an unexpected condition that prevented it from fulfilling the request by the client (e.g. your Web browser or our CheckUpDown robot) for access to the requested URL.
This is a 'catch-all' error generated by the Web server. Basically something has gone wrong, but the server can not be more specific about the error condition in its response to the client. In addition to the 500 error notified back to the client, the Web server should generate some kind of internal error log which gives more details of what went wrong. It is up to the operators of the Web server site to locate and analyse these logs.

500 errors in the HTTP cycle

Any client (e.g. your Web browser or our CheckUpDown robot) goes through the following cycle when it communicates with the Web server:
  • Obtain an IP address from the IP name of the site (the site URL without the leading 'http://'). This lookup (conversion of IP name to IP address) is provided by domain name servers (DNSs).
  • Open an IP socket connection to that IP address.
  • Write an HTTP data stream through that socket.
  • Receive an HTTP data stream back from the Web server in response. This data stream contains status codes whose values are determined by the HTTP protocol. Parse this data stream for status codes and other useful information.
This error occurs in the final step above when the client receives an HTTP status code that it recognises as '500'. (Last updated: March 2012).

Fixing 500 errors - general

This error can only be resolved by fixes to the Web server software. It is not a client-side problem. It is up to the operators of the Web server site to locate and analyse the logs which should give further information about the error.

Fixing 500 errors - CheckUpDown

Please contact us (email preferred) whenever you encounter 500 errors on your CheckUpDown account. We then have to liaise with your ISP and the vendor of the Web server software so they can trace the exact reason for the error. Correcting the error may require recoding program logic for the Web server software, which could take some time.

www.viewbix.comWhether you've noticed or not, you have a new primary email address listed as your Facebook contact and most likely, it's an address you've never used.
The social-networking site has quietly replaced your default email addresses such as Gmail and Yahoo! with your @Facebook.com address, an email service option the company launched a few years ago and synced with Timeline in April.
"As we announced back in April, we've been updating addresses on Facebook to make them consistent across our site," a Facebook spokesperson told Mashable. "In addition to everyone receiving an address, we're also rolling out a new setting that gives people the choice to decide which addresses they want to show on their Timelines."
First spotted on Saturday by blogger Gervase Markham, the email address you once listed as your point of contact is now hidden in the site's database and your assigned @Facebook.com address is highlighted for friends to see.
If you ever changed your Facebook vanity URL, that serves as the prefix of your Facebook email address (i.e. Facebook.com/John.Smith would be John.Smith@Facebook.com). For those that never added a vanity URL,

I was trying to log onto facebook and i got a web acceleration client error 533.1,how do i fix this problem?

This appears to be a problem that exists only for dialup connections. Most dialup services include a downloadable software called a web accelerator. You may need to contact your Internet Service Provider (or at least visit their website) to acquire details on how to remove the web accelerator client and/or how to utilize the service WITHOUT using the said client.

This error stuff can happen if the internet dips or contact is momentarily lost.
Hopefully, unless you use Yahoo, this won't happen too often

Freezing is most likely caused by a faulty hard drive, or faulty RAM. I would test both for faults.
