First, turn off water supply, then remove screw from center of handle, unscrew cover plate. There is a round mixing valve that will need to be replaced. You can find at any Do it yourself or hardware store. Dont forget to turn off water supply first........

Did you set the flapper chain into the correct potition on the handle? Universal handles usually have three settings for length and holes to fine tune the position. If you put the chain in the wrong place its hard to get the correct adjustment on the chain.

Sticking of KWC Suprimo faucet

My bathroom faucet handle (not same brand as yours) was so hard to turn that it pulled the base around with it on the vanity when I jerked it. I used an Allen wrench to take out one of the set screws holding the handle on, put the tiny straw of a WD40 can in the set screw hole, squirted WD40 inside the handle, replaced the setscrew, and worked the handle to and fro a few times to lubricate the inside. No more sticking!

When I screwed down the top plate (10 screws) on the Hayward vari flow valve I lose spring tension and cannot turn the handle. Have I put the spring etc back in the wrong way or have I done something...

From the breakdown sheets I see no way that the spring would not allow the handle to turn. It looks to me like it is only used to help keep the handle in the locked positions. I would say you have another issue. Try lubing the valve o-ring to help it keep from sticking.

Faucet handle turns wrong way

You bought two cold water faucets. The threads are reverse on the hot water faucet. Exchange the wrong one at the store you bought it from.

Stiff cold water handle bathroom Hansgrohe

If the handle is hard to turn it is most commonly caused by water deposits in the handle or in the cartridge below. I would try removing the handle to ensure it turns freely when not installed on the faucet. If not you can clean it with CLR to remove the water deposits that are making it difficult to turn. If the handle turns freely when not installed you will need to remove the cartridge and inspect it to ensure it is not broken or damaged in any way. There could be debris in the cartrige that has either made it hard to turn or broken the ceramic disks. Our handles are easily removed by turning the bell shaped ecutcheon below the lever or cross handle. There are not set screws that hold them on. Hi,
No, he is right, the handles turn in opposite directions... the cold CW and the hot CCW... you cannot change the direction of the on/off sequence...and the rotation direction... so... yes you will need to send back the wrong one and get the right one or send back the whole set and get it replaced...

2-handle faucet handles both rotate "on" counter=clockwise

Here's the solution from Delta:
On a two-handle kitchen or lavatory faucet, if the handles rotate in the wrong direction, simply rotate the right stem stop assembly 180 degrees. This will change the rotation of the handle to the other direction.
