From my information that computer does not usually come with a separate video card. If I am wrong let me know.

The first step is to completely disconnect everything. Make sure all the pins are straight. Reconnect and try again. Check to see if all the fans are working. If that does not work see if you can find a video card for testing purposes. Maybe check with a good friend to see if they have an extra.

Also, check the capacitors (round cylinders) on the motherboard to see if there are any bulging or leaking. If the video chipset on the motherboard is bad then you either have to replace the motherboard or try a video card.

If the motherboard is blown you may be able to have it replaced. Maybe not with the same model but something similar. Double check the capacitors. If they are rounded on top then it is either bad or going bad. They are supposed to be flat on top.

Acer ASpire M1100 shows No Signal on monitor

Any time a monitor says "no signal" that message is originating from the monitor itself, and not from the computer. A monitor in a room by itself with no computer will say "no signal" for a brief time, if it is turned on. So, if you have tried other monitors also with no luck, then the problem is either the video adapter of the computer, or something that is keeping the computer from booting in the first place (power supply, hard drive, memory, motherboard). A power supply can be tested with an inexpensive tool. Everything else needs either a swap out with a known good stand-in, or else an expensive tool to know if it works.Does the fan come on when you turn the computer on? If so, maybe more likely to be the motherboard, hard disk, or memory. If not, more likely to be the power supply.

Everything on the screen is in a blue tint. Applications work, but nearly unreadable due to the tint. I made no changes to any settings.

Check all connections to the monitor and try it on another computer. If the tinge is gone on another computer, check graphics card on your computer. If the tinge does not go, the screen is failinga nd will need repairing (but most likely replacing)

they all come with two cables. blue being vga, white being dvi cable. you only need to plug the blue into both ends (computer and into the monitor) and turn on. If it is still not working how many video cards are there on the computer? Do you have it plugged into the right spot and is it tight on both ends?

I just had this problem at work and what I did was I powered up the computer and went into the menu. I went to the 2nd to last button and selected the reset. It's working perfectly now. I do not know if it will last but it's easy and free.

Monitor shows ''NO SIGNAL''

This is normal. The monitor is telling you it is not getting a signal from the computer, which is true because you've turned off the computer. The monitor power is still on, however. The monitor power is not controlled by the computer power switch. Just turn it off with its power switch after you shut off the computer.

I hooked up my new acer p191w to my dell laptop 1525.HELP!

Not sure what the problem is, but I would suggest pressing the Fn+F5? There is a function key that toggles from dual screen, just the laptop screen or just the monitor. Hope that helps..

Monitor has no picture

Yes! :)

Your monitor is not the problem. Check all the connections from the back of the monitor, to the computer.

"No Signal Analog" means your monitor is working perfectly, however is not receiving signal from the computer.

Didnt find any loose cables?
Try unplugging everything. Leave it unplugged for at least 5 minutes. You need to give the system time to drain all the excess power.

Again your monitor is fine, blue light > No signal > orange light is totally normal for your montior.
