Hello,
Sewing machines are very touchy. It is almost impossible for someone that does not have knowledge of the intricate workings of the inside of a sewing machine to fix this. It looks simple enough but it is not. I would recommend taking your sewing machine to a sewing machine technician and spending $20 - $25 on a tune up. Messing with them gears in there can only create more problems.
Regards, Tony

Im trying to see if I can fix the upper tension spring on my Necchi 3205fa machine. I think it was stretched out of correct shape.

If the spring doesn't revolve easily while it catches the thread it may be. To see what the shape should look like you can go to Ebay and type in "Necchi 3205fa sewing machine tension control". This should give you some very nice photos. You may even want to purchase one from Ebay and replace the one you are having problems with.

NECCHI mod 3205FA I am looking for the flat bed for this machine, is it available somewhere. NOTE: I do not know if flat bed is the right term in English, but I am referring to the fixture that helps...

Flat Bed Attachment is correct. Is Necchi even made anymore? I don't think so. Your search may be futile. However a good wood worker could make you something to fit.

I am having a problem with the tension on my Necchi. The botton thread tends to loop every few stitches. I have adjusted the screw on the bobbin case, but it still tends to loop. Sometimes the thread...

check the tension on the top thread
check your needle-roll on flat surface to see if it rolls correctly
you might check the bobbin to see if it's warped-I've gotten some that were warped

Hi - I'm in the market for a sewing machine. I'm trying to decide between a Singer 4832C or a Necchi 3205FA. Which would u recommend? Thx.

I used to sell necchi's, I have used necchi's for over 30 years for sewing & quiting. I own a necchi model 4595 mechanical sewing machine, & a omega by necchi, model 6150, electronic, my husband does his quiting on it.I have made clothes & quits on both machines
I have never sold or tried a necchi 3205fa or a singer 4832c
all I ever had were old singers, which I have gotten rid of all them
make sure it has a operation manual with it.
make sure you can take it back if something is wrong with it.
happy sewing

Zig zag stitch

If your stitches do not look good on the top side you have a problem with the bottom thread. make sure you have the correct bottom tension: Is the thread under the bobbin tension plate and when you hold the bobbin and case lightly in your hand the tension should be set in a way that there is little resistance , yet still some, when you pull the thread. After you set your bobbin tension, you may have to adjust your top tension to balance. Also make sure the thread comes off of your bobbin the way your manual tells you, clock or counter clock wise.
Make sure your bobbin (plastic) is not sooooo old, buy a new one.
