Hello,
Which swing mod did you do? The one where you pull the jumper and put a capacitor in it's place? If so did you bias it with a resistor on the soldier side of the board? If so what Ohm resistor did you use? What size capacitor? Did you install the capacitor with the black stripe towards the back of the radio? How did you make your way down to the mic wiring from installing a "swing kit?" The wires you crossed would make a squeal but should not effect anything once fixed. If you will answer the questions posed I can further assist you.
Regards, Tony

You said mic gain and dynamic as well. After market power mic? Battery in power mic good? and is it wired for that radio? Running a "mag mount" antenna? Make sure your radio "power" itself has a good ground. In some cases the chassis of the radio may have to be grounded as well. Your getting some type of feedback, whether its audio or RF related just might have to play with it a bit.

Need to wire a high gear m75 for acobra sound tracker

It should already be wired for that radio. Its a cobra mic, on a cobra radio, its all wired for cobra. Witch is a very common mic wiring.

We have a Cobra 148 nw st Sound Tracker When

It could be..
Final blown : worst case
bad mic : try another one
CB/PA switch on PA instead of CB
CB/WX swithc on WX instead of CB :you cannot transmit on weather.
Broken wire on mic jack.

Try the mic and switches first, and if that doesn't help you may need to take to tech. You can find one at a cb shop usually at truck stops.

Have cobra 29wxnwst radio. Truck sat for 3 months

Turn up the RF gain all the way and leave it.

RF gain is basically how open your receive is. There is really no reason ever to have it down unless you are trying to hear only close stations to you.

If you RF gain is up, your mic pins my be oxidized, or mic bad.
Try a different mic, and or clean the contacts in the connectors.

Cb is Keying Down instead of keying up when trying to talk

if you are transmitting fine Don't worry about the meter. Get an external SWR meter, they are better anyway.

Also, make sure the the switch next to the meter is all the way up on s/rf setting. thats for signal power and receive strength.

I can hear others but when i talk noone hears me

Try switching a different mic, sometimes the transmitting wire comes loose inside the connector. If you are handy enough, you can even unscrew those two tiny screws on the end of the mic cord and see if a wire is loose and if so, solder it back into place.

Transmits but doesnt receive

If the meter shows that it's receiving something, the microphone may be the problem. Another possibility is the speaker & plugging an external speaker in would confirm this. Aslo make sure the squelch control is turned all the way to the left (counter-clockwise) & the RF gain is turned to the right (clockwise).
