If you have a SYNET07526, then try and follow the detail listed below.

It is looking for apassword (WiFi Network Key) You have to double click on the little computericon down in the right tool bar area, the one with the two side radiating arcs, and possibly has a small red X under it. The red X indicates that it is NOTconnected. When you double click on that icon a window called RT28701 opens up,then you click on Wireless Information tab, then you cursor down to the name ofyour WiFi and high light it and click the connect box. Then another windowopens up called Network Properties. Uncheck "The key is providedautomatically" box. This will allow you to type in your "NetworkKey", the password that protects your network from outsiders. This"KEY" was set up when you installed the router on your servercomputer. If this does not work at first, turn the machine over on it's backand using a toothpick, insert it into the little hole about an inch diagonallyfrom the right corner of the data plate, this will re-load a new copy ofeverything including the WiFi RT28701 driver. Some times thisdriver gets confused. See my TIP at: http://www.fixya.com/support/r7350901-fix_synet07526_wifi_flashing AdditionalInformation When I try to signon with the red X showing, I get "The page cannot be displayed If I thendouble click on the icon down in the right corner I elucidated above, RT28701opens up to "Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) with all zeros in the IP addressfield, and Subnet Mask, with no entries in the default gateway. That is a clueto me that the automatic sign on has not found a viable network, or needssomething else. If I then click on Wireless Information tab, the list ofavailable networks, appear in the box. The machine keeps trying to associate myprevious entered name site with my preferred site and tells me the signal isgood, but it cannot link up. This is a signal to me that it has lost my NetworkKey or that the softwarehas failed or both. I then click on advance and delete my preferred network andhit OK, this will force the software to ask me for my network again, and noticethat the preferred is missing. I click on the name of my network again and thenhit connect., then the Wireless Network properties window opens up and I caninsert my Network Key again after I uncheck the "The key is providedautomatically" box. I enter the key and hit the OK button. I still do notget a connection, so I reboot the machine, and wait for about 30 seconds andthe machine synchs up because the little RED X under the icon has disappeared. Now the machine will hook to the internet as long as I want to, but sometimeswhen I turn the machine on it will not synch, so I go through the abovesequence again. The secret is once you have entered your key and ask for themachine to synch up you have to reboot. Why? I do not exactly know, but Isuspect that the WiFi driver looses it You may also wantto look at the TIP http://www.fixya.com/support/r7679654-sylvania_syneto7526_wirless_keyboard To make your knowledge complete

Change baud rate on okifax 5050

The baud rate is automatically set by the machine when it connects to the remote machine. The machines start at the highest speed and drop down until both machines can send/receive without any errors then they send the pages. You can not manually set the speed.

When I try to connect to internet I get this message you have been diconnecter from the remote computer you dialed verify the baud rate setting and retry the connection. my baud rate on desktop is...

How are you trying to connect to the Internet? It sounds like you are using another computer as a gateway, so if the other computer is offline you will not be able to connect. If you have another way to connect (such as a satellite, DSL, or something else like them, you need to disable your current connection. Go to control panel, internet options, connections, and see how you connect. IF YOU DO CONNECT THROUGH ANOTHER COMPUTER DO NOT CHANGE YOUR CONNECTION. Otherwise, disable or delete that connection, and then go to the lan portion (towards the bottom of that menu) and click it. In the new menu, unclick automatically detect settings. If you are not sure what you are doing, write back and be more specific with your question.

My sylvania notebook keeps displaying baud rate setting error which is enabling me to connect.

If you are getting the error code concerning the baud rate.. You need to go into my computer, click on control panel, go into network and connections and delete my connection. This will take care of the error message then you can continue to connect your device to wifi.

Hope this helps

How can I change the baud rate on my HP Laserjet 3380?

There is no baud rate to this printer, it's either parallel cable or USB cable. Baud rate refers to the old serial cable connections, com1 or com2. You can add memory to this printer to make it print more documents faster. Try this location:

you will need to check the below check points.
1. check the printer is not out of papers and toner.
2. If the printer is a serial printer, make sure that the baud rate at which the computer sends data to the printer matches the printer's baud rate. For instructions on how to reset the baud rate, see ``Printer output is illegible''.
3. Make sure that the printer is enabled and accepting jobs. See ``Enabling and disabling printers'' and ``Accepting or rejecting print jobs'' (from Printer's manual).
4. Verify that the system has the port configured properly. See ``Port does not respond'' for more information.
5. Make sure that the port is configured for the proper interrupt vector and that no other hardware is using that interrupt vector. See ``Interrupt vectors'' for more information. See your hardware documentation for information on configuring your ports.
6. Goto command prompt.and tye below mentioned.
>/dev/tty1a< /dev/tty01
and then set the date.
7. If the output prints, try submitting a sample file for printing:
Thats all.

Printer will not print.

Printer does not printIf the printer is sitting idle and there is no output, check the following:

  1. Make sure that the printer has power.
  2. Check that the printer is not out of paper, ink, or toner and that it is not in an error state.
  3. Verify that the printer hardware is working before continuing. Run a self-test (refer to the printer manual for instructions).
  4. Check the printer cable and make sure that it is attached properly to the port and the printer. Refer to your printer documentation.
  5. If the printer is a serial printer, make sure that the baud rate at which the computer sends data to the printer matches the printer's baud rate. For instructions on how to reset the baud rate, see ``Printer output is illegible''.
  6. Make sure that the printer is enabled and accepting jobs. See ``Enabling and disabling printers'' and ``Accepting or rejecting print jobs''.
  7. Verify that the system has the port configured properly. See ``Port does not respond'' for more information.
  8. Make sure that the port is configured for the proper interrupt vector and that no other hardware is using that interrupt vector. See ``Interrupt vectors'' for more information. See your hardware documentation for information on configuring your ports.
  9. Test the printer port connection by redirecting the output of a command directly to the device.

Baud Rate is to lower the transmission speed of the fax, however these are the temp settings and once the power is off you have to reconfigure that. Follow the following steps :

    1. 159 - Receiving Fax baud rate
    • 153 - Transmitting Fax baud rate
    1. The screen will read Cfg param val: 26
    1. Enter in the value ____ and then press the Check Mark .
    1. 0 = V.17 14400
    • 2 = V.17 9600
