Question about Apple safari

1 Answer

Safari quits unexpectedly every time I open it. I'm unable to even open it at all. I've tried updating the preferences but nothing changed. Thanks in advance.

Could you tell us what system you are running Mac or PC?
Did you install an application called Frostwire?, it is know to cause problems with safari. If so you can read more about that here: http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2636663

SOURCE: I have freestanding Series 8 dishwasher. Lately during the filling cycle water hammer is occurring. How can this be resolved

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
New users get to try the service completely Free afterwhich it costs $6 per call and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

How do I find my home page?

Quit the browser by pressing Command + Q together. Then open the browser again. If that worked you should see your home page. If you want to get back to your home page quicker next time you can turn on the home button in the navigation bar. It's not there by default but you can add it.

It would be helpful to know if you are using Safari or Chrome or some other browser. My bet is on Safari so here's how to do that in Safari.

1. In the gray area next to the address bar, right click or ctrl + click this empty gray space and you will see an option to "Customize Toolbar..." Click on that option.
2. In this next window that appears drag the home button onto the toolbar.

I added an update to my ibook G4 & the next day when i went to use it I am unable to start up safari, itunes, or iweb. also if i try to do an update i have the same issue. it states that safari had...

The update has been either the wrong one for your system (apparently you have tried an update designed for a much newer version of OSX than what you have) or the update process was flawed for some reason.
Try to remove the update. If that fails then the only thing left is a complete reinstall - try to save your files wile you still can.

Safari wont open says "safari quit unexpectedly

That crash message indicates an incompatible 3rd party plug-in (CT_plugin) with Safari. Via the Finder, it will be located in either the HD>Library>Internet Plugins or InputManagers or Application Support Folder. If in neither location, look in your User Account>Library - same two folders. When you find it, move it to the desktop, then restart Safari.

try running updates, re-install safari. You could try deleting cookies and clearing cache.
maybe try a different browser altogether i.e. firefox, opera etc

Safari Browser makes the 15" PB G4 unusable

I would go info safaRI, and empty cache and reset safari, then go to software update and see if there is an update. I would also check to see if your OSX is up to date. If you are not running 10.4, i would update to at least 10.4.9. If you are running 10.4, i would get a dvd copy of 10.4 and perform what is called an archive and install.
